People know. But if they fought again, this can happen if Johnny drop his guard. After all, Kreese will not show mercy again with him. But if he manage to use Miyagi Do defense and his own attack style, Kreese can be beaten by him.

Miyagi is on the same level as Master Kim so it’s obvious why he couldn’t do it to him. And when Daniel fought Kreese, Kreese had already taken a beating from Johnny and Daniel snuck on him. Kreese probably didn’t anticipate Daniel knowing the Miyagi pressure points
