I think enjoyment of this game is directly linked to enjoyment of the movie. The game does a suprisingly good 2600 style adaptation of the movie.

I'm not sure why I bought it. Maybe I'd read an adaptation of the movie, like the comic book or paperback book? Some screens were frustrating, so I don't think I made level 3 as a kid. One of the last I bought new.

OK I KNEW there was an Atari 2600 Krull game for years but your video is the first time I investigated it at all. I am actually a fan of the movie. It's surprisingly good... a B-movie... but a surprisingly good one. Fantastic score and some pretty good performances, really creepy alien villains ! THIS game though... is a remarkable quick synopsis of the plot and really compellingly done at that ! I can't imagine it being a game that would have lasting appeal though... but compared to the Swordquest games ? !... only about 250 times better !

wow. had no idea Krull had a game. the best Krull (glaive) weapon in a videogame is Dark Sector - mostly because of the sound.

Watching this Krill video you mention the game isn't connected to the arcade, maybe i misheard that? Certainly opening does looks like licensed arcade it plays and looks similar, as is the next level, too.

I think if you'd seen the movie, you'd maybe enjoy it more. I would have suggested seeing the movie as part of this review, honestly. I can't see critiquing a game based on a movie if you've never even seen the movie.

I can see your point, but in one regard, it does present a purer review of the game as I'm not influenced by my like or dislike of the movie. I don't look forward to seeing the movie one day!

I think you would have enjoyed this game more if you watch the movie, it does its best to actually follow the film.

I actually recently saw the movie. I enjoyed it in a B movie kind of way. It does allow the game to make more sense, but I still don't like the spider web gameplay.

@@thenosweargamer1449 Round 2 web is more difficult in that it goes the opposite way. Still in the bottom 50%, just barely: 133/249 during Fireworld review.
