Yeah, when they started the bit I was ready to be really annoyed because it's an old show and it's been so long since I've seen it, and stuff like that would've gone over my head a bit when I was younger so I didn't know what to expect. It was a nice surprise when they explained what was wrong with it.

Season 8. Red Dwarf rebuilt by nanites along with its entire dead crew, including Rimmer. The Holly with them is the original Holly who'd been dumped off by the nanites stole the original Red Dwarf because they considered him useless, while there's also a second Holly in control of Red Dwarf, as far as I can recall. It's kind of complicated but as I recall the story went like this: The nanites stole Red Dwarf and ran off with it. The crew tried to catch them but never seemed to be able to catch up. It turns out that the nanites didn't need Red Dwarf to be as big as it was, so they shrank it down to a microscopic level. The crew eventually caught them and then forced them to rebuild it, which resulted in the new Red Dwarf along with its crew being rebuilt.
