KSGER 2 1S STM32 controlled soldering station review bought on KSGER official shop at Aliexpress www.aliexpress... Item bought with my own money Link it's NOT AFFILIATED
nice vid.. had to mute the music hahaha ..you should just talk considering all the equipment you have seems like you have a lot of knowledge to share much rather hear that then loud music over my speakers haha..i have a simple multi-meter as i'm just starting in this hobby (as a 40yr old hahaha).. but i did a bid or research and got my self this temp meter it's a FG-100 clone from banggood called Daniu FG-100 the reason i got it was that i foudn a nice youtube vid about it something about fake fg-100.. seems both perform well..got a few spare set of sensor wires..and it works well .. btw i got the TS100 and i like it somewhat but find the chisel tip TS-D24 to big was wondering if there was a cheap sollution to use Hakko T12 tips with a soldering station that has a good powersupply .. i gave up because i could not find one..the best would be to build one using the Meanwell LRS-100-24 as it's supply build a nice 3D case for it hahaa.. but that's well beyond my technical skill set. someone mentioned i would need to include a mains fuse on the live at the inlet not to protect the PSU (which has its own internal fuse) but to protect against fire if a fault develops in my internal mains wiring.. i'm not comfortable doing this as i don't really understand what i would be doing.. my main problem with all these units is the power supply ..ahh well perhaps i'l just buy one in the future if i'm feeling brave.
thank you for the comment. First i think the untill someone has the courage to start learning something he/she should be proud of himself/herself ...no questions. Second i find the psu included in the 2.1s version adequate, 4.5A with minimal voltage drop, so no worries for now. Regarding PSUs from china these are my statistics: if you go for the general purpose one (those in their silver metal chassis) you rarely get crap...they usually deliver what they claim at least in amp, they sag a bit but you can always find a decent balance between the no load Voltage and the voltage you need to be with your current (they have a pot outside the case near the output terminals that you can turn with a little philips screwdriver to adjust voltage by 1-2V with very small increments). Otherwise if you go for the laptop style psu or the little black ones ...well... do not. you can easily put a fuse (you can decide the proper rating and change it whenever you want) wherever you want using one of these www.aliexpress.com/af/inline-fuse.html?site=glo&g=y&blanktest=0&origin=n&spm=2114.search0604.0.0.4e737a79N6eh1S&filterCat=540%2C141914%2C4103&jump=afs&groupsort=1&SearchText=inline+fuse&SortType=price_asc they are the classical cilindrical ones or the automotive styled. P.S: Althought i feel understandable speaking english, i'm not a youtube superstar, and i dislike my own voice...like many i guess... still we'll se if i feel to review somthing in the future.
Also another note i do not know TS100 tips but i guess their name almost match t12 naming scheme... If you are going to have just one tip, my advice is to go for one of the BC series ..BC1.5 or BC2 they could work as a fine tip but also carry a greater amount of heat mass to the the solder joint instead of those ultra fine tips. The tips i'm going to have are the K (default, decent and multi purpose) , BC1,5 BC2, C4, J02
I prefer the one in the video. Simply because if I have to work onto something. The tool I have to use have to be functional by themselves... If a tool needs another one to be functional this could be a recursive loop
I'm looking into buying this soldering iron and I am deciding whether to buy the one with power supply inside or the one without the PSU. Do you know if its internal PSU is ESD safe and if the tips are properly earthed?
I can confirm... It's earthed correctly... There's continuity between the tip... The lower pin on the plug (on the connector on the base) and the earth pin on the c13 plug on the back.... Sorry for the late reply
@@hassanul96 no worries... Sorry for the late reply. Today (probably) I'm going to publish a dirty and short comparison with the 2.09 version... Which costs few bucks less
