I just don't trust Cox. When he did pronouns at a high school, he made me sick. Reminds me of turn coat Romney.

Cox was responding to Tucker Carlson in a joking manner, but apparently some people don't understand sarcasm and attempt to mislead others with quotes out of context. Reminds me of insurrectionist Donald Trump.

@Kimmer why would he say his pronouns at a high school responding to Tucker Carlson? That doesn't make sence.
@Kimmer

@@linseydickson7782 Look it up. That's what he did. He isn't a proponent of pronouns or the transgender agenda, but he does believe in treating all people, including LGBTQ, with respect and kindness. It's critical to look at the context, because this is how the media and social media divides us. They want us to be angry and hate the other side because it leads to more clicks and money for some. This is why, even though I've been a conservative my entire life, I will never vote for people like Donald Trump and many others like him.

@@Kimmeryou aren't behaving conservative nor principled. You have attacked those who operated independently from incorrect mainstream information as anti vaxers. You attack evidence against your go to guy as bologna without doing your research. Conservatisms main value is personal responsibility yet you defend secrecy and irresponsibility. A principled person votes their conscience based on facts and admits fallibility where it exists. You are in the bag for Cox despite the evidence.

How about you poll Utahns about keeping public information secret.

Cox signing the bill to make their calendars secret is sketchy and enough reason not to vote for him. If you aren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide.

You are wrong. Public officials have personal lives and a right to privacy. Governor Cox has made his work calendar open to the public. Would you like your personal calendar made public to show your medical appointments, kid's schools, etc?
@candr.
@candr. 14 дней назад
@@Kimmer You are wrong. If I were a public official I would expect my calendar to be public, not necessarily ahead of time because that is a safety issue, but definitely after the fact.
@Kimmer
@Kimmer 14 дней назад
@@candr. Wrong - your logic doesn't make sense. People could still find out where his kids attend school or other private matters. Public officials still have privacy rights even after the fact. It's kind of a silly argument since Cox has made his calendar public. Which right wing conspiracy theory is leading you to believe he is doing nefarious things?
@candr.
@candr. 14 дней назад
@@Kimmer Do you put where your kids go to school on your calendar? People can find out where kids go to school regardless of someone's calendar, so YOUR logic doesn't make sense. I don't know why you are applying it to Cox specifically. All politicians should be transparent, and I'm guessing you would have a different opinion if we were talking about Biden or Trump. But that's the kind of guy you are, a hypocrite.
@Kimmer
@Kimmer 14 дней назад
@@candr. I use one detailed calendar for work and personal life that includes names and addresses and many other private details. I'm all for transparency of work related information for public officials, but our Constitution rightfully protects personal information. So perhaps you are the hypocrite wanting to know everything on a calendar for public officials while not requiring the same of yourself! Educate yourself. Governor Cox has made his work calendar public and he now maintains a separate personal calendar to protect the privacy of his family. Imaginary problem solved!

79% of Utahns. I wasn't asked and neither were most of you. So hard to listen and watch Cox talk. Also, speaking of the Olympics, do 79% or 100% of Utahns have knowledge of the requirements to host the 2034 Olympics?

"SLOC’s $56-million overall surplus, on revenues of $1.274 billion, does not take into account the considerable role taxpayers play in staging a U.S. Games. For instance, security costs for the Salt Lake Games, much of it picked up by taxpayers, totaled more than $300 million. The U.S. government provided nearly $400 million in direct funding for the 2002 Games; the state of Utah put up another $225 million. In all, the Games cost about $1.9 billion. Some say the Olympic accounting should also include indirect costs, specifically an additional $1.1 billion in government funding allocated to highway and rail projects in and around Salt Lake that would have been done regardless of the Olympics but were accelerated because of the Games."

Spencer Cox has done an excellent job as governor and is the antithesis of Donald Trump in how he treats people and works to resolve problems. Lyman is a Donald Trump disciple similar to Trent Staggs. Neither one will be elected in Utah thank goodness!

@@kare7840 You've fallen for the right wing anti-vacs hyperbole. Governor Cox, rightfully so, followed guidelines from public health officials as did even Donald Trump in the early days of COVID when people were dying and hospitals were filling up. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also admonished members to follow these guidelines. They weren't trying to shut down people from their churches! In retrospect, the COVID restrictions went on for far too long, but cautionary actions taken initially were the right thing to do!

@@Kimmerfallen? Nearly everything the dissenters said was true. How do we know? Fauci's most recent testimony admitted the 6' rule was arbitrarily acquired. CDC putting ivermectin as a treatment on their website. Pulling Astra off the shelves. And on and on and on. I could keep going but you get the point. Those things are undeniable truths. Cox is not a lawful person. He illegally revoked the emergency powers from the legislature. The governor is limited to 30 days and he took minimum 510 days longer. I say minimum because it's unclear if he's actually declared the emergency over. During that time he illegally fired people that wouldn't make his same medical decisions. I say illegally because the Supreme Court has ruled very similar cases illegal in places like New York. So to call people anti vax for simply using their conscience is itself unconscionable.
