@RevRunRegan , Hello. My English is bad, sorry. Please tell me how many millimeters your foot is? And how many millimeters are your Vibram KSO Eco? And are you wearing socks? Thanks for the review, I want to buy exactly this model!
my first of vibrams. super minimal, had to train my feet and adopt an entirely new walking technique. but overall 10 out of 10. just be careful and give your feet time to adjust
Hi and what do you mean by new walking technique? I’m new to vibram and I notice that there is a lot pressure on the heel, maybe there is a way to avoid it..
Do you know if the upper material is a blend or faux wool/hemp (depending on the model)? Their website uses dubious wording. Polyester wool and polyester hemp respectively. Not poly/wool blend, for example, like most companies would say. I am just wondering if the wool models are reinforced with polyester or if they are polyester felt that is meant to mimic wool. Which would go against the whole premise of the shoe.
How are they holding up since you bought them? Also Vibram said I can use them for training too. So I was wondering if that was true if the soles were lasting long?
I doubt the hemp material would waterproof well, but you could always give it a shot. I've sprayed waterproofing spray on other Vibrams and it has helped already "water resistant" models stay dry. (Like the Lontra or Speed XC)
Hi. I have recently found out about " barefoot" shoes and am excited to try them out. But I'm shocked that you are impressed that they haven't come apart for a few weeks of use. I am expecting shoes to last at lest a couple of years with regular everyday use. Are these that weak in the durability department?
The KSO Evo are a model that come apart too easily in my experience and the KSO Eco are a similar design. That's the only reason I talk about them holding up for the short term. In general, Vibrams hold up better than most other shoes.
I have 2 pairs of the grey wool version. I wear them every day and they still look like new. I can only confirm what you said about them: they are super comfortable, almost „stick“ on smooth surfaces and you can wear them for hours without getting any trouble with your feet (of course if you’re trained to wear fivefingers). Highly recommendable!
