I moved away 10 year's ago but Sam was a part of our Southern CA lives for over 20 years. I'm saddened to hear about his passing. I'm praying the good Lord comforts his family and KTLA, you're a part of that family.😔🙏💔
When it came to entertainment reporting, Sam was the one I could always count on. He asked great questions and always made his guests feel so comfortable. That comfortable feeling allowed his guests easily be themselves and open up. True professional and we can all learn people skills from him. Rest in peace

I’m hurting so much for our lost I strongly believe that Sam was an angel that our Lord sent him to these world to do a mission and believe that his time was complete , an angel that help thousand of people around the world to help them meet their dreams Amen. Everyone knew who he was. Even my wife that doesnt even watch the news or much TV. She kept hearing of sam rubin passing and shes not very good with names so at first she didn't know he was but then ktla showed his videos and she automatically recognized him.
This was preventable, just like Carl Weathers' death and others who passed away before their time. We need to do a better job identifying and treating heart disease and other life threatening illness rather than gender change surgery which isn't medically necessary, especially for children. The rule is to do no harm.
I'm sorry . This sucks. Sadly even though sams family has to make some changes in thier life, so do the executives at ktla right now. They have to make decisions to replace him unfortunately. It's a business decision but it has to be made. They will reach out privately to certain talents, as well as in house. But I'm sure who ever and when ever he is replaced, it'll be a very emotional moment when they go on air for the first time.
