As a Duke 250 owner with 2 Delhi-Leh circuits and a Spiti circuit under my belt, I totally agree with this. When I was making my purchase back in 2017, a lot of people told me I should go with Himalayan. I am the 2nd guy (90% home to office rides, 5% weekend rides and 5% once a year long tours), I went with the Duke just like Bulu bhai recommends the Speed over 390A. I was told D250 cannot do long rides, but once in a year it definitely can. But yes if you're hardcore tourer/off roader, then go for an Adv.
A big time waiting for your opinion on Harley 440x vs speed 400. Because of all the opinion toppling we had around the first ride stages. 440x looks ugly, but reviewers said in person it looks way better and performs surprisingly well for that basic engine spec. So looking forward for your thoughts on those two.
1. In triumph you will love the mid rpm torque which is missing is KTMs. This helps you in traffic. 2. Ktm will give you amazing top end power which helps in open road and highways.
Hai Bro, I have booked a Spd400 and its ready for delivery...Should I go with it or test ride Duke and then decide... Is the 1 Lakh price difference justified? Which one of these bikes is fun to ride and is the difference in performance huge? Which is better for touring? Which one will age gracefully? Which of these bikes will have a lower maintenance in future? I am genuinely worried about excessive electronic gizmo's in the new Duke.. Pls comment...
I really wish triumph launches a adv tourer based on this engine platform in the coming one year. I am planning to buy one. The bike will be a bliss. ❤

I have a ktm 390 adv, love it,but trust me...I am also planning to get a scram 411 from royal enfield, I drove it for two days and I am absolutely in love with its low end torque and super easy maneuverability
Thank God atleast you n others understand sir why I make w comparison video, as there r people who just comment that they r stupid comparisons, but they don't understand not everyone wabts to own multiple bikes... They just want one bike that suits to their requirements
@@saurabhbarbighaiya739 Touring undoubtedly the ktm is better. Higher speed without vibration. Longer taller bike so more comfortable. But it is almost 1 lakh more with horrible city ride. Heats up very quickly and tuff to ride in city
Thanks for the much needed review !! Would the TSp400 be suitable and comfortable for once or twice in a month mostly Highway touring for 400- 500 kms ? The riding posture looks more aggressive than being upright and I prefer upright posture for the long ride. I stand at 5.7" tall. What can be some of the accessories and mods to be fit to make TSp400 long ride friendly, improve the riding posture to more upright ? Being a compact machine wrto dimensions, would it be comfortable to tour on TS400 for 400 - 500 kms with pillion and luggage ? Thanks !
Tiger 400 won’t come because that’s a sports tourer. And if that comes that will kill the market of Scram 400x which has the same purpose. So they won’t bring Tiger 400 as scram and speed series are their classic segment and Tiger and Street are their sports series.
Congratulations bro for your Adv 390 X 🎉...I am also planning to purchase one very soon but had a couple of doubts, if you could clarify it for me it would be of great help to me. 1.) Is the throw and spread of the headlight good in darkness ? 2.) I have heard that KTM bikes especially the 390's have an issue with the bike stalling when riding at slow speeds and at low rpm. Is the issue still there or has it been resolved in this new Adventure 390 X ? Would appreciate your help as I plan to keep the bike for a long term.

390 ADV ka comparision Scrambler400X se banta hai, wo kariye. Speed 400 ka comparo is with Duke 390, just like Autocar magazine has done in their latest issue. BTW 390ADV tyres are not hard to find and the OEM tyres are also tubeless.
Ghazab review without being biased....both are beautiful motorcycles, identical but definitely made to cater to different riding styles.... Would love to own BOTH....
Bullu bhai 100% agree with you 👏. I own 2022 390 adventure. Recently rode sw variant. Planning to install the fully adjustable suspension. Fully adjustable suspension makes a world of difference bullu bhai. Zameen aur asmaan ka farak . Next level comfort I experienced on 390 adventure 👌.

@@BuluBiker Yes bulu bhai we can definitely install on old models. I enquired from ktm dealer that both front & back suspensions + spoke wheels front & back would cost roughly 80k & only for shocks it is around 20k . Prices are not exact but rough estimation. Ktm dealers told soon it will be available as spare parts for previous owners. If possible please enquire from your side & update me also ☺️👍. Can't wait to upgrade them .
I enquired for 390 ADV with alloy wheels and adjustable suspension in Kolkata, they are still not communicate with me, I gave two options replace SW from rally version of KTM ADV 23 with wheel replacement or standard 390 with adjustable suspension, still waiting for their response 😢
Hello, I am really confused regarding v strom 250 and these 2 bikes 400x and 390 adv x . I know I am comparing apples to oranges but I feel that v strom can do everything that I want (60 % commuting 40 % highway tour) however currently I ride classic 350 bs6 and wondering should I go with 40 bhp for my upgrade. I often wonder why and how come triumph bikes( trident660, tiger sport 660, speed 400) are recommending service interval of 15000km when synthetic engine oil manufacturers recommend oil change at 10000km(as per my knowledge). So doesn’t it affect the engine when someone changes oil at 16000 km. I have queries about this. Please explain.
Bulu dear, i own a thunderbird 500 2017 model. I just need to add one more comfortable bike for both touring and city. You think i should get speed 400 or wait for himalyan 450 or tiger 400 as it has some rumors to be launched?
Sir dont you think that if u already have big touring bike then a adventure 390 would make more sense than Speed 400. Bcoz touring can be taken care by those bikes & trails by 390. Also speed 400 can't do off roads where as those adventure bikes can do i mean the bmw 1250 and AT. So i think if u have tourer go for 390 if u have off roaders then go for speed 400
Bulu Bhai why did you miss on mentioning that Triumph has better tractability and better lower rpm power figures over KTMs. I think on off roads trails that matters a lot, doesn't it? Also, similar comparison should be done for Scrambler 400 vs adv390 ✌️
Yes bro I said that for better city commuting, issue with speed is its Ground clearance ia just 159 so trails may be difficult. But yes on the scrambler it will be great.

So kindly don't teach me what to post on RU-vid. Not everyone has tye freedom or financially sound to buy multiple Motorcycles... Ppl spend their hard ewrned money in buying 1 single Motorcycle for every purpose
Every motorcycle is designed for a specific purpose, they have their own capabilities and limitations. Non-riders have freedom to choose from different motorcycle types available in the market! So comparing an Apple to Apple would simplify their first motorcycle buying experience, Comparing Apple to Mango would further confuse them even more. @bulu bhai- Do you think KTM 390 ADV will have slight advantage over Scram 400x? Do tall windshield really effects if you have to cruise at 100-120kmph?
@@akshaykasa haven't seen the 400x in meat and blood, would be able to better comment when it's available for test ride. But whatever picture & videos are available, I still believe the KTM 390 Adv will be better choice. Browny points for KTM : Their service network, parts availability & top notch service. Have to wait and watch how Triumph is going to handle the same in coming years. 🙂
@@sanjeevpurohit4348 - Yeah even I am super confused if i should wait for triumph scram 400x? or just go with 390 adv sw variant... KTM now has an advantage with adjustable suspension as i wanted a better riding comfort and I am looking for highway friendly bike...
@@akshaykasa if you are looking for a touring plus trail rides go for ktm adv 390 but don't take spoke wheels if you are not going to do major off roading..
Bhai I like Ktm as its fast on highways so long rides r not boring.. but if u r ok with 100kmphs on highway n more concerned about comfort then Himalayn is the bike

The biggest problem wirh KTM 390s is.. Below 4000rpm it is ridiculous!!.. It coughs & baulks & jerks & acts like a 90yrs old man!!.. The next biggest disadvantage is lack of proper distinguishing with lower cc KTMs like 125/200/390..
