Simplest & Cheapest Tail Tidy Modification for the 2017 KTM DUKE 390
Forget about the aftermarket tailtidy's which are never as strong as they appear and can break off.
You can create the best looking and strongest tail tidy by making simple modifications to the original one. You can choose the length as per your liking when you cut & weld the original tidy.
The cutting and welding bit cost me INR 200. The fixing bit is very simple and you can do it on your own.

Fawad Bilgrami Thanks mate. I thought these kind of modifications could be easily done in Australia, as almost everyone has their own garage. But nevertheless, you can always order a tidy from Aliexpress.. Cheers!

Cant we cut and weld it in such a way that it can hold the indicators too?

Sadhvith M Yes you can. But you will have to modify the plastic bit of the tidy to hold the indicator. Else, you just just weld on a couple of metal loops on either side for the indicators.

if you're parking i tight spots , some one can easily break your indicator so it's better to have a short one

abhi agarwal Not at all. Checked with the SVC guys before cutting it. They are ok as long as you don't modify any electricals, or fiddle with something that affects the functionality of the bike.
