KTVU Ten O'Clock News Closing Credits 2001 (look closely) 

Wow, I use to watch the Ten O'Clock News on KTVU all the time with my parents in the late '90s and early 00's. This unlocked some core memories!

Wow! This is pretty cool! Never seen a long close on KTVU from this era before.

In my mid-40s now, when KTVU came out with that modern set and those awesome opening graphics and theme they really set themselves apart. Used to watch in my bed before falling asleep. I traveled with my folks all over the country in the early 90s. When KTVU said they were the #1 news broadcast in the country...they weren't kidding. You guys always did a fantastic job that even the national news couldn't compete with. Dennis and Elaine are the GOATs.

Growing up on weekends, this meant it was time for bed. Love this!

The b roll for the credits looks like it was filmed in the early 90s... they used that footage for the credits for a looonng time!

Oh, man...that takes me back to my childhood. The faces, the music....almost cuttin' onions here.

I always watched KPIX C5 at 5am. KGO C7 at 5pm and 11pm. But this closing has just brought back so many memories..19 year old me working at UCSF medical center Parnassus. KTVU was always on, I would hear the close out and that was my cue to do a final round on the patients. This has brought me right back there. Such good times. Memories never forgotten.

That's awesome! Never knew you was a Sports Producer Mr. Brazil. I always remember you growing up as a guy on High School Sports Focus with Robert Braunstein and then co-hosting with Mike Sklute. But this is pretty awesome!

KTVU always had the best themes the mornings on 2 was great too

dang this theme hits me in the feels. I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s in the Monterey area but KTVU was part of that market. So Dennis Richmond and Elaine Corral were nighttime stalwarts and I always loved the opening to the 10 o clock news.

Always a good night, especially when KTVU airs a close like this.

This looks to be from before 9/11 BTW That's Diane Dwyer who about a year later moved to KNTV NBC 11 doing weekends there until about 2011-12.

KTVU one of my favorite news stations. Still the best as far as I am concerned. Great job
