I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks it's absolutely ridiculous to have a bolt holding in that little silver bracket at your 15:20 mark. This isn't a frame cross member, the 3 point comes off sometimes weekly at my home, eventually those threads are going to strip out in that metal, yet if we don't tighten it up all the way I know I'll loose that bracket and it's probably $500.00... crazy engineering on that connection. Great videos, keep them up..... you motivate me to get out there with my M62 and do stuff.... Do you still like that hydraulic top link, that's on my shopping list.
thanks for the comment. yes i do like the top and tilt its a great time saver if your having to make any changes as you use any 3 point attachment. something simple like a rake when you want to windrow out rocks, when you change the angle from side to side you also have to then changer the hight from let to right. it would take much longer without it
yeah, it's close to the same prosses. only difference is you have to hook the lines back up together on the smaller tractors unlike the m62 where you just unplug it from the tractor
I have the same machine - thank you for putting this out there. I have been nervous to take off the backhoe until I saw this. One question - can you do one where you re-install it? Thanks again
yeah, i plan to. it's not hard to take off or put on other than just getting it aligned correctly when backing up to it. I'm still waiting to get my m62 back, but I'll make sure to do a video one i do. thanks for the comment.
@@johnmachnicki1715 I'm glad he's going to do one cus if I did it it would be X rated for all the swearing I do trying to find that 1/2mm spot in playing with the down riggers where the pin's actually loose enough to turn, AND EVEN THEN with that metal hinged plate up, you can't operate the down rigger valve cus it hits it.. crazy engineering..... lesson learned, keep those lubricated..... cus there's no room to tappy tap tap them out with the tire so close.

Ive got an M62 that didn't come with a 3 point kit. What is the part number for your kit? I've been looking and found a number of set ups that all appear not to be the correct one. My kubota dealer wanted to quote me $1100 for this... if that is the case, so be it, but I'm seeing other ones that look like they may be compatible at far less cost.
Mine came with them, so does his (or do you mean some for the backhoe when unhooked, mine has them there too, perhaps he lost his), you can see the white one at the 26:09 mark? They're attached to the hoses.
Back it up on ramps to where you don't have to stand on your head to install the bars and especially those pins behind the tires....just my nickels worth......
Hey just want to tip you to the seat on your tractor. Notice you will see two black steel box’s under the rear portion of the seat. I removed them (saved parts) and OMG so much more comfortable! Other wise the seat remains tilted forward and it seems the seat suspension works better.
OMG thank you for that tip, I thought I was imagining that i'm leaning forward like 45 degrees..... will go look on mine. OH COOL... you mean those little black hollow steel cubes between the seat and the frame that the rubber bumpers come down and land on, yea why the heck are those in there, it's so obviously leaning forward, thanks for that tip..
The air ride grammer seat from the grand L series fit almost directly to the swivel of your M59. You can get a vynl or cloth seat with adjustable arm rests adjustable back height. Costs about 1500.00 but absolutely worth it, after 8hrs I'm not beat up from the old seat.
Well using the right tools will help speed things along and also having everything you need handy. There was 5 minutes of dead camera time filming nothing while you retrieved stuff, and putting the lower bolts in with an adjustable wrench? C'mon man. If you don't have sockets big enough, go to HF and get their 3/4" driver set. Once you thread the bolts in by hand a couple threads to make sure they are properly threaded, use a battery powered ratchet driving the large socket. There. Just saved you 10 minutes of the 30 you used. Lastly, as someone pointed out already, store your lines for the hydraulic top link with caps on, and save 5 more minutes cleaning dirty couplers. Now we cut your time dropping the hoe and installing your 3-pt to only 15 minutes.
thanks for your comment. on the m62 the only two tools you really need are a 9/16 ratchet and a needle nose pliers. when i did this video, the tractor was new and had some parts that are tight, so it was harder than normal to get things to go where they needed to. it's been some time since I did this video so I don't recall at what part of it was the 5 min of dead time so can't say what i needed to do during it. at some point I'd like to do some editing to make the videos shorter and easier to watch.
