Just done this on a 95-2. I drilled both holes as in video. I then soaked evaporator with coil clean on both sides, rinsed with water and used a flexible big truck air filter blow nozzle to blow everything back through the evaporator backwards from operating air flow by inserting blow nozzle in the square air outlet that's between the evaporator and heater core while clearing the drain tube with a long zip tie in between each step. I repeated this 5 times then let stand a few hours. this seemed to work very well being air flow was back to normal when everything was back together. thanks for this valuable information.

Just did this to my svl95 and holy crap what a difference…. The plastic is easily cut with a sharp razor (I heated mine with torch to melt thru). Took a paint scraper and scraped the crap off, vacuumed the bottom quick, and shot it with brake clean. Shiny and looks beautiful.. tapped it up and now I’m shivering! Beauty tip

The Kubota skid steer engineers must only test in a perfectly clean laboratory environment. Being able to service your filters for the cabin for heating and air conditioning should be an easy to service item. I am sure you'll really appreciate the climate controlled cab when your Eastonmade 48C arrives.
@SkidderKev
@SkidderKev 3 года назад
Ya its a pretty big problem. I'm sure they are starting to see these problems and hopefully fix them. Hard for them to hear about them if it's talked about in private groups. Now that it's getting some air time maybe they will take notice.
@sureflamefirewood4174
@sureflamefirewood4174 3 года назад
It's the same as your in home set up.. you need to clean the vents the filter will stop 98% of the crap but you need to replace them every 3 months and at least once a month in dusty conditions...Noone ever does.. next best is do what Kev did

JB welding a fitting on there that you could either screw a plug in or attach a vent hose to 1 end and a leaf blower to the other would possibly be a good thing. Possibly give it a squirt with water first and then use a leaf blower or even a compressor to dry things out afterwards. My old BMW stopped pumping air out of the AC entirely. After googling I found out that there's a bit that's known as the "sword" due to the shape. The afterthought HEPA filter is before the sword and when it blocks up the sword overheats and the heater and aircon stops. The HEPA filter literally mounts behind the heater module against the firewall. Absolutely awesome to access that through the footwell. You can't see the nuts that release the filter and you have to work from photos and by feel. The same to access the sword after you remove the filter. Engineers totally shit me sometimes and many of them deserve a kick in the nuts.

What size hole did you drill? My 95 is doing the exact same thing and I’ve been thinking all along that the engineers didn’t make the a/c system strong enough. So, I googled it and found a video of the system being clogged. As the guy took apart the entire system, I called the local dealership and they want $630 to do it. Then I find your video of just blowing it out. Thank you!
@SkidderKev
@SkidderKev 3 года назад
Hi Lockhart, glad this video helped you. I'm not sure the size of the hole saw I used, I think it was a 1 1/4 I just kinda grabbed one and it worked out.
@kurtw4061
@kurtw4061 2 года назад
You don't have to cut it... if you have a powerful enough air compressor block all the vents and pressurized one of the air vents. I pressurized the one facing the door. Just reverse the flow essentially. This will blow everything up out of the evaporator behind the seat area (on top). You can use a Shop-Vac back there while you're blowing it out.

Hi, I’m trying to do the same thing here, thank you for the video. Question: How big did you drill those holes? And did you use a pressure washer or just the hose?

We’re you using vacuum through the tube or air compressor to blow it out? And thanks for the tip I’m gonna do this as soon as I get mine home from work site
@SkidderKev
@SkidderKev 2 года назад
Vacuum in the bottom hole and hp air in the top. Problem when I did ours it was running before I started to it was wet so the vacuum didn't help super well. I have heard of guys putting the bottom hole lower and just using water to clean it out too. Water apparently drains right down to the belly pan and out. Either way will save you spending 6 to 8 hrs pulling the whole thing out.

@SkidderKev

Ya the red line is a air line and that is a shop vac. It's just sucking out everything that comes out of it. I have seen people us water to wash it out too.

A few other ways to do it 1 spend 6 to 8hrs pulling the whole system out to get to it or 2 is to duct tape up all vents and use a leaf blower to blow back through it which doesn't get all the gunk and grim off it if it's wet. And it will be something you will have to do again as well. Your machine do what you want.
