I have this conversion kit at home. the small clip is fine and works well, but the 10 round which is only an 8 round because I use 300 win in mine. Here's the problem I have, when putting the 10 clip in (9 rounds) it is still loose and wiggles around even snapped in. Have you considered putting runners for the sides of the 10 round clip inside the rifle insertion for the 10 round clip to make it more snug and so it won't wiggle
I really haven't used the 10-round mag much, so I haven't put any thought into it. Maybe once the zombie apocalypse happens I'll give it a bit more time.
Dave, were you able to use the original screws? I have a Remington 700 adl 30.06 and I want to convert it to the BDL with the same stock that you have with the kwik klip conversion kit. Which 2 screws did you reuse? While I got my gun apart I got to change my trigger to a Timney trigger due to the Remington recall. Did you have to do any remodifiction to the stock when installing to the Kwik Klip? I'm looking to get the OD green stock or the Chile green stock from Hogue. Thank You!
Dave, 1 more question? We're you able to reuse the same screws when you did the modification? I have seen a RU-vid video from guy from Brownells, side that when changing to the Kwik klip conversion kit, must use a shorter front screw! I was wondering if I need to replace it? Thanks
Sorry for the late response. I reused the original screws. At this point I don't remember if the kit included washers or if I bought some separately, but I needed to use some washers to keep the bolt from hanging up on the front (muzzle-end) screw. Good luck.
