For people that commit crime against others? No. Kyle was an exception. But if you deserve to be in there, then why should anyone care? Blame the law when they convict the wrong person and conpensate. The whole point of punishment is that you have no rights to pay for your crime and no freedom.

This poor teenager went through all that misery in jail all for just defending himself. Then the media and our worthless excuse of a "president" berated him, lied and damaged his reputation. I truly feel bad for him. If he can, I hope he files a lawsuit for the horrible conditions he had to endure in a jail cell he never belonged in.

I think older people would have complained about what was most likely just a mistake/oversight. As others have said, they have to periodically turn the water off if an unruly inmate is flooding their cell. They probably just forgot to turn it back on after the last guy was removed. Occam's razor. If the authorities still didn't turn the water on after a request, then the inmate would have a civil rights case (cruel and unusual punishment). Kyle said he didn't want to upset the guards, which is a real concern because they can make your life hell if they don't like you, but I still think he should have at least politely asked about it.

Jail cells don't have private showers, anyway. He had access to the regular showers. His attorneys would have taken care of it for him, and if he'd politely asked the guards they would have helped him. This kid is a World Class bullshitter.

@@Trythish I'm just recently 30... and am now at an age of maturity and critical thinking ability where I u derstand and am aware of the importance of objectivity and separating emotion from my determinations and opinions. I think you'd admit... its an acquired taste, and it takes some testing and getting used to. It's not an easy conclusion to come to that initial preference is typically not the correct or best path forward, and much like until experiencing direct deposit... until you can learn to trust that the money will definitely be there later on... its hard to commit to putting in the work early. However, eventually you understand the benefits of doing so... much like saving money or wisely investing for things in the future when the temptation of "want" is so readily accessible now. Ignorance is bliss because objectivity never pays today!

If he does, he needs to keep security that does the defending for him. While he sticks to the first aid and fires only. And probably keep a drone following him, even though people will think that's more evidence that he is "wanting" to defend himself. The more prepared he is, the more guilty they'll think he is. @@msabccbscnnoanfoxnews if Kyle showed up without a rifle, he would have been killed or put in the hospital. Thank goodness he did have a rifle to defend himself. Anybody's mom would want someone in Kyle's position that night, being attacked, to have a means of protection. Not a mask or a vaccine, but a firearm. When a 17 year old is being attacked by multiple grown men, or even just 1 grown man, a rifle is the most logical line of defense (or years and years of combat training) but rifles are cheaper, take less time to aquire, and are much more effective

In that regard he shouldn't have had a cellphone or tablet either. Also, guards will take inmates by themselves to the showers, protective custody, and solitary confinement are done like this as well. Also an hour out of your cell usually with option to go out to rec, again, by themselves with a guard.

I see jails and prisons as conditioning centers where elitists try to break common people down by making them feel worthless and expendable. It's far from the cake walk that some ignorant people make it out to be. It's hard to keep ones dignity in those conditions and that experience follows people around after release.

It's was completely unnecessary not to say anything. The water was most definitely simply turned off, probably because of the guy in there previously messing around with the water. However, the lawyers must have noticed and they didn't ask/care and didn't notify the guards? Very strange.

He probably did and they probably had some kind of compromise that he's not telling us. I can't imagine he had a toilet without running water. Just a guess, but I bet it was just his shower that didn't work, not his toilet and sink. They probably offered at least a weekly shower or some kind of poor compromise that he misunderstood or declined. I can't imagine that he'd go 20 days without bringing it up at least once. If anything, the guard he told, probably told him that he doesn't care, and like most young people, Kyle didn't know the best option to follow up, so he just suffered through it. More important than telling the guards, I think he should have told his lawyers, who sound like they wouldn't have done anything either though. I know I'm making a ton of assumptions, but I am at least willing to bet we're not hearing the whole story, and that's coming from someone who's glad he wasn't found guilty

@@HeyLady. Prison is a completely different world. You have to carry yourself a certain type of way in order to get your respect from other inmates. He doesn’t have the personality to fit in so he would end up keeping to himself and when you keep to yourself you become a target and also when you keep to yourself, you become lonely. So you end up doing harder time then someone that knows how to carry themselves and get his respect right away. Prison isn’t too bad when you get your respect and feel like a man but when you don’t get respect, you gotta walk around with your head down and hope you can get thru the day without someone bullying you, theres only so long someone can live like that without hanging it up

The showers are shared in jail. They aren’t in the rooms. They had him in solitary, so they are supposed to let him go to the showers room. It’s likely only by request of the inmate. Idk if he didn’t realize that or what. He probably had a running toilet and sink.

I’m on kyles side 100% have been since the beginning but if he had mentioned the no water issue with a guard they probably would have cut it on, there’s a door with a switch between cells so they can cut it off if an inmate tries to flood their cell, even if they didn’t you’d have a stronger case against them for that, now they have the excuse “we didn’t know”
