I’ve never known someone to say the wrong thing at every turn. Will always be the first to drag a black athlete down for his bosses then at the same time he’ll then randomly bring race into an issue when it isn’t actually relevant 😂
Kyrie and Jaylen Brown are too outspoken to be bland, scripted products. Barkley was the best performer on Dream Team, obnoxious, but helped team win and grow the game.
Who wants bland, scripted products? Nobody. Also, that we're talking about a shoe brand deciding an Olympics roster, instead of a coach or a selection team looking at who is the best fit is just completely crazy. Shame on the organisations and companies involved for letting this happen. Shame on them for disrespecting an NBA legend like Kyrie Irving and a legend in the making, Jaylen Brown. Those guys are rolemodels and loved by their peers. If you are outspoken, you need to be rewarded for it, not being punished by some shit shoe company whose shoes aren't even good. It is the most overrated, low quality brand that exists in the world today and responsible for many decades of scandalous 3rd world country exploitation and unpaid, harsh labour.
youre the first comment ive found to say this. how does uncut hoops make a whole video and not mention that. loving sports and making sports videos shouldnt make you this oblivious to the real world, a literal genocide happening, and how corporations like nike want to cover up their and the USAs role in slaughtering over 200,000 innocent people so far
Why is Team USA funded/bank rolled by Nike or any company? Has the NBA gone belly up, have they run out of money..?.? The WNBA is still running so Im guessing, not. No company should have any say in any national team other than saying, " Yes, we will be delighted to sponsor your kits and accessories...yada, yada, yada......", A national team is the team of the people not a f&cking corporation. The NBA must have sufficient funds to cover the costs of a national team but, if they're running a little low on funds, I believe there are 30 highly valued or rather highly overvalued, f&cking expensive, sorry, wealthy, registered NBA league Teams, that should you send the collection plate round, will be able to fund the national team just by having a good scratch around the back of their couches. Is there anything that still makes sense in the world today..?.?...
@@user-yh8jh5hv1kNike makes the uniforms etc. they obviously have a lot of pull on who makes it and who doesn’t. Hard to pull that card on someone like Steph Curry but someone like Kyrie is easier to ignore in that instance.
Because one sports league isn't allowed to bankroll an Olympic team. Mainly because if they did they'd have to pay the players which is against Olympic rules. Nike sponsors the Olympics as a whole. They make the uniforms for every sport not just basketball which is why they have a big say so in the ongoings.

Didn’t Kyrie post the link to an anti-Semitic book or movie? And wasn’t he trying to claim the world is flat? Which had children in Boston schools ready to fight their teachers, for saying that idiot was wrong? I support him not wanting the shot, that was his choice, but everything else adds up
@@Mhr6685 him saying the world is flat made kids fight their teachers? Sure thing bud. All kyrie said was; to look into it yourself and don’t immediately believe what the government/nasa tells you. This is very subjective... Kawhi is with New Balance & Curry is with Under Armour. However, majority of NBA players have deals with Nike. It shouldn't shock you they have more players with deals from Nike playing on any team in professional sports...
I’m also perplexed why Tyrese Haliburton was backup point guard when Jalen Brunson was just 5th in MVP voting and had such an amazing season. Idk if there was any politics behind the decision, but I disagree with the choice. The same goes for picking Derrick White over Brunson, although I understand maybe they wanted a different skill set. Update: totally forgot about the injury 😂😂😂
Why would you add another ball dominant guard to this team full of ball dominate players? Y'all are not thinking from a TEAM aspect, y'all just wanna throw all the best players together like that works. Only person that got snubbed was Jaylen Brown. He should have replaced Kawhi, other than that I don't disagree with any other pick.

Nothing wrong with Bam to be fair. There aren't many at the all-NBA level, though Kessler and JJJ are certainly good and apart from the rebounding, didn't really disappoint defensively last year.

Playing against Euro-leaguers that do still play that way by having them might be enough to cause team USA some headaches, but it's not gonna be enough to really sway a game. And for me personally, it's hard to put much stock into you talking about a position that from my perspective you can't even spell correctly (yes, I understand it's spelt differently throughout the world, but if the position as it pertains to is of NBA players, Center is how the term is spelt). TL/DR = You're making a lot of fuss about a small issue.
I can’t speak for all but I can say when me and my friend group saw jaylen brown say he planned to use his max NBA contract money to try and establish a current program to redevelop a “black Wall Street” of some sort in Boston, we KNEW he would see “blackballing” of some sort by the nba. Those rich Juu-Wish folks pay them so much for them to turn around and spend it all back on the companies those same “Juus” are invested in….they don’t want you to save and help build up your own people, they don’t benefit from that.
Just look up the team photos, all the players that use Nike are in the front and the other players that use other shoes are moved to the back so the shoes are not seen. This shit is happening since 1996.
Or Embiid or Ant lol. He'll last year Austin Reaves made the team and he was with a Chinese brand named Rigorer. The shoe brand argument is a horrible one lol
@@makesmartTROYces makes no sense. Team USA is a business. Can’t have anyone with wild outlooks on how other countries move. It would be bad for business. This is how Nike gets is brand into other countries. Can’t have anyone messing with the money. Business is business.

Dwhite is one of the best role players in the league and is used to not being 1st or 2nd option. He's an elite screen navigator that knocks down open 3's at 40%. @@donsolos yes, Dwhite is better at naturally deferring and not being a 1st or 2nd option. He's a better screen navigator. He's been all defense 2 years in a row. You can't say the same for any guy you mentioned.
Kyrie's reputation precedes him. Team USA does not want to take the risk of him saying an off-the-cuff remark in the world's biggest stage. Some would mention Barkley, but he became of the biggest ambassadors for the USA during the 92 Olympics, he went of his way to meet the funs on the street of Barcelona note content of waving from the hotel.
Loved the vid but i gotta say sumn about comparing jalen brown to kawhi.... these 2 are nothing a like... and they are built differently. Kawhi plays much bigger and stronger than jalen, jalen is quicker and more flashy. But the skill set really doesnt compare, kawhi damn near looks like old Jordan with his mid and post moves and is an excellent 3pt shooter. These 2 dont remind me of each other at all.
Just bc Kawhi is better doesn't mean they aren't alike. That's like saying Kawhi isn't like MJ bc MJ is WAY better. They're both 2 way athletic wings that can space the floor. Kawhi is better but Jaylen Brown is similar to him. Close enough that he 100% should have replaced Kawhi bc it would have been a seamless fit.
@@WillWilliams-vo4nk i said nothing about him being better. At no point did i say kawhi is better than J so for that reason they arent similar...that is a dumb statement. I explicitly compared their bodies and styles. But i do see what you mean about 2 athletic wings that can space the floor..... i guess thats where their similarities start and end.
Kawhi is a methodical, stable shooting platform that operates out of strength and efficiency on offense and on top level insight and excellent hands on defense. Jaylen Brown is an athletic scorer that is slippery and strong, making spectacular euros to the basket or quick actions to get an open shot, he is an amazing 1v1 defender that can stay in front of guys extremely well and a good help defender as well. These guys have nothing in common, except that they are both pound for pound extremely strong guys and great two-way players.
Yes Kyrie does get a disproportionate amount of hate but he does take some of the blame in Boston and Brooklyn. Whether it was ego or wanting to be the main man Kyrie thought he could be the leader and came out short. Not everyone can or should be a leader which is fine, Kyrie works best as a 2nd or independent agent. He messed up the team and acted like he did nothing.
Enough lies as he got illegally banned from playing for not taking a shot and lost game checks that should come back to him as Backpay. Brooklyn wasn't his fault and Boston only started Winning when they replaced their GM and Head Coach there along with 65% of the roster.
Kyrie was treated as public enemy #1 by the media just because he refused to "follow the science" & like many of us. We refused & were painted as lesser than.
Haliburton averged 10.9 assit a game this season. You need a traditional point guard when you have so many scorers on your team. Why do you think the redeem team had Chris Paul, D-will and Jason Kidd on it? All traditional point guards. Haliburton was an easy pick over Kyrie. Also Haliburton was much more impactful than Kyrie this season.
Kyrie is still the better player, he’s better at the rim, better scorer, better shooter, better in the midrange, better pull up shooter and he’s a better defender. Kyrie is literally a all time jump shooter. He shot 51% on 9 attempts in the midrange per 75 possessions which is elite all time levels and he’s been one of the best pull up shooters in the last 3 seasons.
@abtocool6350 He was doing all of that as the 2nd option, playing next to one of the 3 best players in the league. Haliburton as the 1st option absolutely has shown more ability to lead a team than Kyrie ever have. Look at what Kyrie did as the leader on the Cavs without Lebron. Kyrie when he was leading a young celtics team. He has never shown the ability to do what Haliburton did, which is lead a team and elevate his teammates. Great 2nd option for Luka though
@@cooliohoolio2467 he was almost a 50/40/90 player as the first option in Boston and in his first season led them to a second seed before getting hurt, then in his second season there helped them win 49 games and helped them get to the second round. I also can’t believe you’re taxing him for his first three years in the league. He was drafted to the worst team in the league that lost 25+ games in a row before getting on the team😂 and they were lowkey getting better every year with their record improving. He’s scores on the same efficiency as a first and second option and this season with 6 games without luka he averaged 30/6/7 on good efficiency.
Anthony Edwards has a huge deal with Adidas and his shoes are literally selling out as soon as they drop. You think Nike wants him on the team, the literal new face of Adidas? While conspiracies definitely exist, not everything is a conspiracy theory. Jaylen and Kyrie, along with others, would benefit greatly from this knowledge. But it's easier to accept the world when everything is a conspiracy, and given the turmoil in our world, I don't expect that to change any time soon. Kyrie does not deserve to be on this team. Jaylen Brown does, I don't agree with the decision to leave him off, but Team USA went with defense instead of adding another primarily offensive player. It is what it is.
I think your conclusion is reversed. JB would have brought more defense, he's got a nice offensive bag but the reason he won finals MVP was because of the D he showed against Luka and Kyrie. Whatever the numbers show, the eye test tells me that JB is a better defender than Ant. He's smarter, more aware, more mature and possesses all the same skills on that end as Ant.
@@how2eat364 USA Basketball also has to balance how many players from one team can be invited, though it's funny they went with Derrick White instead of Jaylen Brown as the third Celtic. If JB was chosen, it will be a struggle balancing the minutes - which of these guys would be o.k. as the 11th or 12th man in the rotation. With White that won't be an issue. Choosing White also offers more positional flexibility as a hedge if Haliburton doesn't play well or gets injured. JB can not run the point, that's for sure.
@@user-lt1fx2he5s I would have bumped Kawhi off but he had to have an invite because it was supposed to be his first time and he won't likely ever be as good again. My order among the two guards: Brown, Booker, Edwards. Still a toss-up because positionally Brown plays more SF, whereas White is clearly a combo guard.
@@willingexile3374 If the question is fit with the team while blending and conforming then I might understand how some can think the correct decision was made. If the question is who's a better player, I can't agree with JB not being invited. He just proved that he is "him". Draw a name from a hat and give any other guy under age 30 the boot. Brown deserves to represent team USA.
Talk about knowing true history…. Ty Cobb was arguably the most slandered athlete in history. All that stuff about him being a racist turned out to be lies. You can look up Charles Leerhsen’s book. He is an author who initially was gonna write about Cobb and his racism. But when he started doing research into all of the acts that dubbed Cobb with the label, he found nothing but inconsistencies, misinformation and outright lies. Cobb was a goon, he had thin skin and a very short temper, he loved getting into fist fights, but there isn’t an once of legitimate proof that he was a racist.
Sports entertainment is about everything else but the actual game or athletic competition. Propaganda and narrative pushers "aka" the media and sponsors. "Heels" vs "Babyfaces" they decide who the "villians" are. They decide the winners. Sometimes when you win you still lose. It is what it is. Kyrie and Jaylen should keep ballin, collect them checks, pay your taxes, invest your bread and don't trip about none of that. They are not shuckers or jivers. There is a price to be paid for that.
you cant argue for jaylen brown and then kyrie in the shame breath. One showed up to the final and the other didn't. Also, Tyrese Haliburton made an all NBA team. Stop picking on him
Kyrie is still better than brown. A one series sample size isn’t enough to make him better. Kyrie is a better scorer, shotmaker, pull up shooter, better processor with the ball, better playmaker, and better passer. Theirs a decent gap on the offensive end. Brown does have a big gap on the defensive end but its not like kyrie is a liability.
@@abtocool6350 im not comparing the two at all. my argument is if you're advocating for brown because he played well in the finals then you can't, at the same time, say kyrie deserved a spot because he played didn't play well.
I’m sorry, I typically F w/ ur videos but u r completely off base here. 1. The USA Basketball Committee pick the players, not the sponsorship 2. Do u not remember why Nike broke up w/ Kyrie? Do u not remember the entire controversy surrounding him & the entire NBA? 3. If Nike had a problem w/ athletes on Team USA, the Leonard should’ve never been selected. Kawahi openly criticized & tried to sue Nike over The Claw logo. If Nike had an issue w/ athletes then Steph Curry wouldn’t be on the team, u know the guy they infamously botched a recruiting pitch on & then told to kick rocks to UA, costing them $14b in evaluation $, & was fined for covering up the Nike logo on his socks. 4. Brown & Kyrie r shifting blame to the wrong entity; the entity in USA Basketball, but both know they can’t say that. They weren’t selected for their views, period, & those views have nothing to do w/ basketball or shoe branding.
JB drama ohh I get it he should just shut up n dribble if u see something wrong look da other way because they paying u well so fuck having morals got ya
Yes Brown is better than White on paper but you can't have a team full of Alpha Batmans, you need Robins and Alfreds in there as well as some role players and guys that can set guys up, play defense hence Jrue and Haliburton
Nike’s over-saturation of uniforms makes basketball difficult to watch, in my opinion. Different unis every season. No home and road integrity to said uniforms. I got sick of having to match the logo at center court with a name on the front of a jersey to know who’s “home”. Worsened in the playoffs.
So ridiculous, Kyrie is the reason why they lost finals. You're like some 💩 medias : if Mavs win it's because of Kyrie, and Luka's fault when they lose. 😡.

Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown are friends and with the NBA did the Kyrie Irving Jalen Brown was not having that and he spoke up so it’s more of a political situation. That’s why they don’t want Kyrie know.
Just for arguments sake are we to forget the reason Isaiah Thomas was left off the dream team, these teams have to have international promo appeal and they typically don't want too many controversial pieces. Joel is this years most controversial player and he is signed to sketchers.
Dwhite is the best player to take that spot . There are way too many ball dominant players. You need a DWhite to distribute the ball . Also he will have the toughest assignment on defense most of the time
They did it on steph in 2015 by not winning MVP and in 2016 game 6 in the finals the referree targeted him to be fouled out to extend the series.Steph was pissed off and he throw his mouthpste .Her wife called the league rigged after that. The following year they recruit durant and it goes ok cuz durant is a nike guy and can compete curry and shadow him. After how many years they still can't stop curry's fame because fans love him specially outside america and he change the game.So they give up.Nike don't want players to shine wearing the other brand.Look at fox he was not selected an allstar this year.Nike controlling the NBA and they choose and help player like lebron for example to become a superstar to carry the league.
Idk if this is true or not, but if Jaylen and Kyrie were not selected due to reasons outside of basketball, that is BS. In terms of basketball, they both should've been selected or at least considered (especially JB), but I understand why they weren't. They're both primarily scorers, and the team already has an abundance of them. White is a great defender and more of a facilitator than those two are, so that's most likely why they wanted him. Btw, none of Steph, Ant, Embiid, or White are signed to Nike, and they're all on the team.
Kyrie averaged 25/5/5 on 49/41/90 splits in the regular season and averaged 22/4/5 on 47/39/85 splits in the playoffs. He also averaged 26.5 on 64% true shooting in round one and averaged 27 on 58% true shooting in round 3 against the number one ranked defense. He’s a better scorer, shotmaker, pull up shooter, better at the rim, better floater, and better defender than haliburton.
