Hey guys, a new video today.

Løthur Grooming has released an initial core lineup consisting of DAVE, TEARS, and CALM. 5% of proceeds for these soaps will go towards Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) to support their mission of improving men’s mental health and wellbeing.
What I used in this video:
Razor: Karve CB Stainless Steel
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: OKU Sevilla
Soap: Løthur Grooming 'Tears'
Soap Ingredients:
Potassium Stearate, Potassium Tallowate, Glycerin, Potassium Kokumate, Potassium Castorate, Aqua, Sorbitol, Parfum, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Lactate, Xanthan Gum, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalol, d-Limonene
Scent:
‘TEARS’ opens with citrusy bergamot, lemon, and mandarin combined with delicate herbal notes. The heart is a full-on assault of neroli blossom, lavender, and jasmine resting upon a gentle musk accord at the base.

I absolutely love Lothur. The post-shave is fantastic. My face feels amazing for hours afterward; just like "glass" as you describe.

Nice review Jack. Pro tip: if you have a counter top sink, grab yourself a few cheap towels, (or Egyptian cotton ones if you like) throw them over the top, draw an outline of the sink, then cut out the hole and seal the edges with a seam or stitching....game changer! That 'glass' layer/post shave feel you speak of, is probably the effects of the Dimethicone (a form of silicone) he uses in his soaps and seems to be somewhat of a controversial ingredient. I'm guessing it was brought to his attention by a few people, because he addresses and debunks the myth, quite thoroughly on his website and with a video on his ig page. Sounds like great stuff though. 🤝👊✌

I picked this up yesterday and it's fantastic, as is the scent which smells the double of something I can't put my finger on. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino perhaps?

Great shave. I bought the Dave version. I put this soap at the top of my go to soaps. I prefer to bowl lather initially to prevent overloading the brush. 👏👏

Good of you to push a maker who does good. It also seems to be a cracking soap. I know what you mean with the skin feeling like glass - I have never described it like that, but that’s spot on.

Almost looks like a meringue on your face. Good looking lather though. I have two OKU brushes myself and I absolutely love them. They are my go to brushes almost daily.

How does this compare with Ariana and Evans Kaizen 2 base? I’ve wanted to try Kaizen 2 but refuse having to join a club to get it. I don’t like that way of operating. I would much rather prefer to buy from an artisan who wants to get the product out there to everyone.

Pretty sad about the whole suicide numbers. Completely understandable, because too many men (unlike women) don’t know how to unload the pressure of this thing called life. Stop telling little boys not to cry and that expressing your feelings isn’t manly! I don’t want to be around people who cry all the time, but some things freaking hurt and holding it is damaging on so many levels! Anyway...take it easy Jack.
