And yet the entire world makes and uses more plastic and petroleum products now than it ever has in the known history of its existence. Had Sara Lee (the parent company of L'eggs) been making the same or more money that they did during the pantyhose heyday... Those eggs never would have gone anywhere...The planet be damned.

Reminds me of a time when I met a work colleague of my mother’s (this was the 70s) and he asked me if I liked any boys (I was 11.) aI told him there was a boy in my school who looked like a middle school version of John Travolta. He told me he thought John T was ugly. I told him his taste was in his mouth. Mom was mortified. I say he totes walked right into that one

Looks like it was shot in 3/4" video tape, instead of film transfer. IIRC, many daytime ads were shot that way, especially during soap operas.

And so do I. In the 1959 Oscar winning vintage classic, "Some Like It Hot" where there's a fabulous line was: "Well, Nobody's Perfect." By the fall of 1992, only Hanes was the greatest name in women's hosiery. Seen on many vintage print ads - including Hanes Silk Reflections Shapers Hosiery featuring Andrea Marcovicci in a black dress and sexy heels. The slogan was: "The shape you want to be in." Also seen on many wonderful television commercials for Hanes Her Way Leg wear with Carol Alt, Hanes Silk Reflections Sheer, Plus and Soft Touch, Hanes Resilience with Tina Turner, Hanes Smooth Illusions with Fran Drescher, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Gina Gershon, L'eggs Sheer Energy with Debby Boone, L'eggs Sheer Elegance, Silken Mist and Silky Support with Charlotte Lewis, L'eggs Smooth Silhouettes with Debi Mazar, Katrina Boone and Debbie Shapiro Gravitte and L'eggs Sheer Comfort with Miss Elaine Wilkes, Brenda Strong, Jane Krakowski, Sarah Jessica Parker and Barbara Eden.
