Probably needs that voltage regulator I’m pretty sure. For the battery to keep a charge it worked on mine.

Its worth more in parts, engine, wheels, hood etc, I just scraped out a old Murray, and so far made 300 plus

I bought this same exact mower in 2010 from a man that had it for sale on an old country rd. I still use it 11 yrs later, I have approx 1000 hrs on it. It has the 17.5 Kohler command. I've had to replace 2 tires, the drive belt, both blade spindles, blade belt and battery (several times) and of course the necessary blade and oil changes. I absolutely love this mower. I mow 1 acre that is very rough 3 level yard along with a very steep rd frontage (DITCH!!!🤬). I gave $350 and until its completely dead in the water such as trans or motor issues I'll ride it till one of us is dead! If it goes first then I'll definitely buy another one just like it!

That's a bummer. I agree that those are your only two options. To me, it seems like those pedals have an awful lot of play in them. Maybe that's it? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

The K46 transmission that was in this is absolute junk. Unfortunately, they still make that same transmission to this day and use it on the low end X300 series and all E series.

My John Deere is 10years old has the hydraulic drive also - but garage keep and no problems or rust . It's been an eye opener in my book watching this one. Can see if the transmission goes it's more or less a savage rig .Hopefully it'll out last this old man .

Hey thanks for the video. Have you had to change the gas tank on this mower and are you aware of the part number change which is a different tank. Anyone else having this issue?? I realize this is an old post.

I have an l130 and it doesn’t go fast and reverse is kinda bad just like this but I have really hilly terrain

Definitely. My L-110 is 16 years old, and she is still running. The day she stops running, we are going to keep her as an antique for sure, as the new ones look nothing like they did back in the early 2000's.

Why would I give it away? Already sold the motor and a few other things, besides I doubt youd be able to go clear across country for a junk lawn tractor

Would it be possible to put a transmission additive in the tranny like a Lucas product? I don't know enough about transaxles or what's inside of them to give better advice. Also, would you recommend that impact gun your using? HF is going to have a black friday sale and this is discounted even more than previous sales. Thanks.

Im not sure on the additive, ive heard of some people using 10w30 oil in them when they do a service though, also yea that impact is a nice little tool, I love mine, got it at a parking lot sale for 32 bucks and for sure recommend it, it works very well, I rarely use my air impacts anymore to be honest.
