Oh my gosh, you are so funny! My daughter had cf..we lost her 22 years ago this month. When she were in the hospital, I used to draw a man's head and taoe it to her iv pole and I'd call it IV Man, sorta like a suoer hero. Being 11 she thought that was so embarrassing. Thanks for sharing.

I have a Cabbage Patch Kid, a bright ginger one might I add, whom I performed numerous surgeries on as a child. She had multiple open heart surgeries and was taped to a board that she was not allowed off of for six weeks due to possible head injuries...

I have a stuffed black lab (named Zeke bc I had a real black lab named Zeke) that I've taken to every surgery I've ever had since I was in the 4th grade!!!....I'm 24 now....& yes he still comes w/me!! Lol I had colon surgery a few weeks ago & my nurse too, zeke off my bed when they came to get me & was like "he can't come!"....& I told my mom & she handed him back to me & was like "zeke can go baby!!" Lol & when my nurse saw I had him w/me she was like "you're really taking him?!" & I said "yes I told ine goes w/me every time!!" & in the back of my mind I was thinking "Idc how old I am!!,I win!!" Lol
I have a labor bear not called that though but I did squash him when they were putting me under too I have had roughly 15 surgeries so he is pretty flat :)
So I have a Question so you know when you see someone who has an illness and you want to know what kind but you don't want to offend them. Well then what do you say to them plz respond I don't care if my screen name is used
Well its different for everyone, some people don't mind and others hate beings asked, but in my opinion its best to just ask. You don't have to be mediator for everyones feelings ya know? If someone living with an illness doesn't want to talk about it then thats their own insecurities and the worst they can do is say i don't want to talk about it. I love when people ask because i feel like its a step in the right direction of taking away the taboo around sickness. Best of luck :)
