Labradar vs Labradar LX: OLD VS NEW 

Ryan Cheney ELR has a video comparing the LabRadar LX to the Grumlin Xero excellent video people !

I am afraid it is too little too late for labradar. Used to see them all over the place down here, now i can't tell you the last time i saw one. The 2 guys i know who had them, ditched them for magnetospeeds. I use the magnetospeed as well, but even in load testing i hate the zero impact. Going to watch the Garmin reviews. May buy it this summer.

So Labrador is telling us that there new unit does less for more money????

Major let down, i was hoping for a smaller unit with built in battery while maintaining its current capability. Something that could give the FX true ballistic chronograph some competition, just so the prices will drop.

I mean, it's cool that it provides info on the BC but, for long range shooting, a single number for the BC isn't ideal. Ideally want to know the BC for different velocity ranges which wouldn't show up at 100 yards and BC information is already available from the bullet manufacturers. In other words, unless you are doing your own bullet designs, there's really not a lot of point to the BC calculation feature or lugging around a huge doppler radar chronograph.

So the original LabRadar does measure real time up to a 100 yards! I always thought as it was just a calculated value instead! 😀I'm keeping mine then!

Both your unit and the Garmin unit cost $599 why should I pick yours over theirs?........ Go...

Labradar rested on their laurels and thought that either nobody else would, or nobody else could enter the consumer radar chrono market. Labradar made no attempts to lower their prices to be more competitive (before it was too late), and they did not further develop (or feature enhance) their existing product line. [Note external battery, because they couldn't be bothered to give their flagship product a battery life that was worth a ****.] Additionally, the internet is full of nightmare stories [whether true or not] about how they will absolutely not support maintenance of Labradar units sold to second parties. (What sane person would consider buying a used Labradar, now?) So- where this has put Labradar: 1. They are WAY behind the "state of the now" technological performance curve, and 2. If they had phenomenal customer support, they might still have a place in the market. Unfortunately, Labradar's self-owns are going to be a "one, two" death punch to their prideful business.

They didn’t see it coming. ZzzzzZz Garmin took the market by storm. Companies have turned their tooling to make accessories for the Xero C1, so LabRadar is no longer on the radar for shooters!

Not convincing - either model. Chronographs are overpriced for what they do. Garmin still tops IMO.

Lab radar knew about their issues for years and released the improved v2 a little after Garmin, I got the V1 and is a piece of junk, i would not even buy the V2 for half the price of the Garmin, I will be ordering a Garmin.

I’m sorry to see this rep so stupid to compare their new product to old one. I understand he’s trying to keep the old overpriced big orange box. But Labradar is already sooooo freaking behind. They would be lucky to sell the new unit. No one, no one would even look at that big stupid orange box anymore since it has made us so freaking suffering for that many years.

Good for up to 30 yards? That's a hard pass for me. Not much better than my Magnetospeed.

ALL chronographs are overpriced right now!!! I've tested with all of them and they all give the same velocity as the MagnetoSpeed and the old Shooting Chrony. No way I'm paying those prices when I already have a Magneto speed AND an old shooting chrony that still works perfectly.

Why would the big lab radar cost $399 and the small one cost $599? Wtf. Wouldnt the big one cost more cause more material cost? Both should use the same technology. So why the F does the small one cost $599? Thats $200 more. Smh. If im paying $599 I'll go with garmin chrony.
