Until today, I had never seen a keyboard equipped with an actual whammy bar as an expression input (wheel, joystick, knob or pedal). Anyone listening to this cover of Voodoo Child (Slight Return) without the video would NEVER guess that was played on a keyboard. Clearly no one told him that was impossible. (smile)

Keyboards are usually thought of as a backing instrument. Glad to see this young man is bringing it to the Forefront and getting the attention it deserves.
I have already watched each song from this session separately, and some even several times. But this is the first time I’m watching the whole show. This is grandiose and unique! Such performances should take place in stadiums with an audience of several tens of thousands. Bravo Lachy !!!
I have been playing the HAMMOND since I was 15 years old and I have heard thousands of organ 🎹and keyboard🎹player’s that are awesome. HOWEVER you shed a whole new light and LEVEL into the music that you play. I like Lots of Jazz players like Joey DeFrancisco Tony Monaco. And the rock players from bands like Janis Joplin band The Steve Miller band the keyboard player from Steppenwolf Boston and on and on HOWEVER YOU are to me the best I have ever heard you can make any songs from the past into a whole new and much better arrangement it is just absolutely S T E L L A R ! ! ! ! ! ! And likewise for everyone in your band instruments 🥁🎸🎺🎷🎹and vocals 👱♀️👩🏽🦳🧑🏼🦰🧑🏾🦳👩🏻🦰🧑🏼👩🧑🏽👱🏽♀️ All are several levels above any I have ever heard.

Just sad it’s taken this long, I’m 50 and have been listening and playing since I was 12, to hear this was mind blowing. I think Jimi would be blown away by that Voodoo Chile cover! I learned keyboard by watching many people and try to learn their style ..now I'm obsessed about trying to play like you ..its gonna be a hell of a ride and I'm looking forward to it ...you are amazing man! I'm watching the whole thing!

It's like learning keyboard all over again... but that's how I learn (by doing something that seems impossible to me XD) sorry for my bad English ..I'm french (from canada) , i learned English by my self . I get better when I'm inspired and i just love your style its refreshing. Thank you for the great content !! ... I figured i can use a pedal (like a gas pedal for video games ) and use it as a midi wammy pedal or maybe try to find a midi pedal that i can use as a wammy in abelton or something like that . I saw that your wammy was bending the pitch up and when its pressed all the way its a clean note ..i want to emulate that since I don't have the gear.
I'm in the same situation - I'm obsessed with trying to play like you - at first I'm working on "Six feet under SOS", I'm missing the bridge chords or the transitions (I don't know how to said in English exactly), but already a lot of fun (sorry for my english, from France)
Lachy... MAN! What a concert! We've lost a couple of my favorite Hammond players, especially recently, Mike Finnigan. Having listened several times to this concert, I remain amazed and I feel like each time is the first time. Love all the different organ phrasings. The instrument really comes to life. All of the other musicians and singers are also plus plus. Even the sound is well recorded, and every instrument can be clearly heard. So thankful that Lachy put this one up for our continuing enjoyment.
Man what a show. Have seen a couple pick outs of the show before, so great to see it all. Incredible to see so much talent in one room. That gotta be some of the best live recording I have ever seen and heard. Great thanx to both you and all the fabulous musicians with you on your b-day. Wish I could play the hammond like you, and I'm sure Jimi taps his foot somewhere up there when you play your clavi versions of his songs
