Watch exiting video how bread has been baked according to old Latvian traditions. Lāči breads are baked using exclusively natural and quality raw materials. Everything is handmade and bread is baked on the stone hearth of a real, brick-lined, wood-heated oven.

I have been doing bread for the last 30 years but this is the first time that i see this method.Never saw this here.i m more used to french breads and north America..Thank you for this video something new and refreshing,good for me and my students

rimythemurloc The best breads are Asian. Give me a flaky, chewy, nuttily fragrant paratha or roti chanai anytime. Or the crispy, addictive Chinese scallion flatbread. Or the crumb covered pan de sal with an ultra thin crispy crust that shatter at first bite, with a light but at the same time dense, chewy crumb. When my western friends travel to Asia, they never miss the much overrated, bland sourdough. Asian breads are so good they are eaten on their own, unlike western style breads which need fatty toppers of cheese, butter, cured meats or diabetic inducing jams to make them palatable.

@@fauxmanchu8094 I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and hate sourdough bread so I agree with you on this, but not on anything else. Arrogance and pride are the worst human traits. I recently visited Iceland and they enjoy rye bread at most meals and it tastes really good there! Latvians eat rye bread at breakfast, lunch and dinner and Laci bread tastes very good! But one of my Latvian friend's father is a master baker and he bakes rye bread at a whole different level. Bread is a carrier for all kinds of flavors and dishes. Scandinavian and Northern European cultures enjoy quality rye breads served as open-faced sandwiches similar to how the Japanese artistically prepare sushi, but spread with organic, grass-fed butter, cucumber, tomato, hard-boiled egg slices, smoked sardines or salami-type meats, cured salmon or pickled herring, and sprigs of dill. Good bread/naan is usually served with top-quality olive oil, balsamic vinegar and spices/sauces. That's just how it is served and no one does it best in the world.
