Laco Flieger 39mm Augsburg (ExquisiteTimepieces) 

Really makes you wonder how IWC can charge over $6k for the cheapest basic painted dial flieger in stainless steel and up to $10k for a big pilot, when brands with the same historical connection to the Luftwaffe, if not more, such as Laco and Stowa ask between $400 and $1200... Ridiculous.

I have two Blaue Stundes in 39mm and 42mm. Love Laco and good on them for having a few models in the affordable category without sacrificing quality.

Laco's are great, have a Stowa with a sterile dial and top grade eta, owned it for over 12 years.

I've had one of these in the Taupe dial for several years now. I do enjoy it, but the 18mm lugs make it look...off. Laco needs to move to 20mm lugs for their 39mm cases. I doubt they will but it would look more proportional that way. With regard to the movement, I heard from laco themselves that they do somewhat regulate these movements. I don't know if that's strictly true or if it was lost in translation, but what you experienced with your piece there is the same as what I experienced. When mine arrived, It was dead on. It was more accurate than my Omega 😂. I don't look down on the Miyota 8200, but I was shocked at how it just kept good time no matter what. Maybe it's because mine was a limited edition of 200 or maybe that's just what they do to all of their watches. I don't know. And another thing, Laco hands reach to the edge of the dial. So many alternative/microbrand fliegers don't do that. I think it's an important detail and it makes the watch look classier, and like a more military time piece. I wish more watches did that in general.

Great review!! I’m fortunate enough myself to have bought this exact watch (for the incredible price of 280€!!) and I couldn’t be happier. Probably one of my most worn watch on the collection and rightfully so: the brushing and finishing of the case is just on another level, the Miyota movement feels and winds differently to other Miyota and the dial is pretty flawless though simple and legible. What a great wristwatch!

I’m thinking getting the Flieger pro type A, so for 14.5 cm (5.71 inches) wrist size like mine, a 37 or 40 mm is better?

would you recommend 39mm or 42mm for 6.5'' wrist?

Sorry but this has nothing to do with this watch. So, I have had it with ebay and their reductions fees and taxes. They also hold funds for a month if over 1000 usd. I'd there another trusted e-commerce site a guy could sell expensive watches and such?
