This was me at school. I was brutally dumped from a friendship group because I didn't want to act and dress a certain way or pretend to be interested in stuff that I wasn't. I was never loud or hyper so I was always pushed to the side but I was always genuine, dependable and understanding. Speaking as an introverted person: just because we don't show you what's on the inside, doesn't mean there's nothing there.

These girls don't represent all of us. I would have put myself in last place, because I would never want anyone else to feel less than, and I know I'm not that wrapped up in others opinions so I could take it.

These types of girls pushed me out of 3 different jobs. I've always been very shy and kinda mid when it comes to beauty standards. Most bakeries I go to (I'm a cake designer and professional baker) employ super pretty girls to work up front and do basic back-of-house work. I never fit in and they kinda shut me out. It was devastating every time because I LOVE bakery work. It's one of many reasons I've now completely switched career paths.

I thought the same until I found those whose mentality matched and I met one of thrm in late 2019 and it wasn't good start bcz when your opinions are strong and you enjoy different things then you clash and I met her in clg hostel but with time thr realisation that at least that person isn't fake us what we bonded over and now we have our separate lives but we are still there to cheer each other and still give honest opinion on things that matter. I am 29 rn so you see I met her when I was 25 & she is a year younger. You might meet such ppl even more late in life. Another one I met in March 2022,that was my roomie in nursing hostel (I mean in the hostel provided during nursing course) and that was just pure luck. She is 7 yrs younger so initially I treated her more like a child but she was such an attentive and positive person that she almost made my life more colorful, my mental health was down and she will read the room but when she sees there is a chance, she takes it and nags me. In few months she became more like younger sibling. We say that there is enough space on top for all of us so why drag other person down. I am emotionally sensitive person so my friendship is also based on that. Before that I had friendd but I was one hell of a people pleaser and putting all the efforts. As I grow older I don't have patience for that.

Yeah it messes with people for sure. I was excluded both at home and in school and it took me YEARS to heal into a normal person in my adult life. I still don't have any friends but I'm not awkward anymore, I can talk to people, I don't worry about what people are thinking about me any longer. At one point this same situation made me think I needed therapy or something, because I kept asking myself, why the hell am I the problem....what am I doing that's so wrong? And then when I sat down and had conversations with some of my siblings and childhood friends, I realized that you will meet people like these in bulk because fucked up attracts fucked up. My mother in law and sister in law (also my father in law off) are pieces of work. I know why my husband ran away from his family to another state for college and his masters! I compliment truly unique items such as earrings or pendants, tattoos, and choices bc I can tell the other lady put a lot of thought into it, that it was something special. And often she will tell me a story of “oh it was given to me by someone special” or “I made this myself” and I get to learn something significant about them I wouldn’t have otherwise known. :3

I remember being teased a lot for being ugly but a group of mean girls. Yet out of school. Both of my sisters at the time would bring around friends to our house and a lot of those girls who were my sisters friends ended up telling me or my sister's that they think I'm attractive. 3 even asked me if I wanted to date them. I also remember at 18 being told by a woman in her 40s that if she was 20 years younger; she would have me and I recall at 18.. being cold approached by a random woman on the street who told me she thinks I'm fit (British slang for hot) and asked for my Facebook. So you can see how confused I became Proved to me that beauty is subjective
