Never watched, but saw a brief summary from various RU-vidrs and comment sections. I recall that the point of that episode being "You can't just barge in and compete against disabled people and expect an easy win, they're training for this." with the absurd part (as per usual south park) where we get the answer of "what if Paralympic athlete and stimulant scandal are in the same box?" So yeah, in summary. Never expect political nutjobs to discuss sports accurately, they never watched any match to begin with.

My biggest issue is I'm in the group they're targeting and I wasn't triggered at all. I just thought it was boring. And when they did they had to find out that it's not all that easy, you can't just start as a man in a female competition no matter how often reactionary nutters choose to repeat the same PRATT to their gullible audience who never gave a flying f☠️k about women's sport in the first place. If you want to start as a trans-woman you have to had undergone the year-long psychological evaluation required to receive gender-reaffirming care to begin with - and your endocrinic (hormone) levels have to be within the standard derivations of women's physiology for obvious reasons, and over a prolonged period of time at that - having taken up hormones last week won't suffise. So as you can see it indeed is illegal for a man to compete as a cis- or trans-woman in official women's sport competitions. It really isn't that complicated.

And experienced men are always winning against experienced women, that's just a fact. You don't see transmen dominating other guys at sports, it only happens with women. The comedy might be bad but the problem is real. Biological men do have an advantage over women. You can say there are all sorts of individual differences in height, strength etc. Yes. That's why short people don't play basketball and weak people don't do weightlifting. They don't have the chance to win. If you're fine with women having no chance to win, either (because of their biology), then why not put men and women together, why the division? Ask a female professional athlete what it's like to compete against a male professional athlete, not against you.

There was a time women couldn't even play in official chess tournaments, and when they finally 'allowed' women to participate, it was only against other women. They are still putting women down, while pretending to protect them from people they consider to be men. Truth is, the International Chess Federation is afraid to admit that women are not only a match for men in strategy, knowledge of the rules, and tactics, women would also be able to win if they were allowed to play against men in tournaments.

I find it funny that in a conversation about the making of this show, the original premise was for them to do it for real. But they couldn't because the rules wouldn't allow them to compete. Oh trust me, you haven’t seen baffling until you’ve seen THAT movie by Tom Green. I can’t exactly say the title since I’d probably be sent into the shadow realm, but it’s one of his more… erm… “well-known” movies.
As a trafficking survivor with PTSD who experiences medical triggers... I must say, I am rather disappointed I didn't experience a single trigger at all from this movie. Which is a serious let-down considering that was their whole selling point in the trailer.

Since the vid is back up, I'm gonna retype the comment I made on the original upload: I think the reason conservative comedy falls flat is because comedy usually resonates with audiences since it has some basis in reality. Comedy can really speak to an audience if it reflects off of factual basis for how our world works and it spins, parodies, makes commentary on what we see or go through in day to day life. But reactionaries have fallen so far down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories, made-up moral panics, and invented boogeymen that your average person just can't get behind the very premise of their "jokes" because the reason for why you would laugh in the first place isn't there. You can't really be too much of a comedian if your worldview relies on a foundation of made-up stuff because it can't resonate with audiences. Say what you will about John Oliver or Stephen Colbert but they at least get that premise down. And it's far easier to endure two hours of them than whatever the hell this movie is...
There's also how it fails at being absurdist or dark/offensive humor. Not gonna lie, I *love* offensive humor. But usually it's pretty clear that the person behind it still means well and says what they do because it's funny, not because they want to hurt people. And if a line is crossed with much of their audience, they're willing to acknowledge the mistake and apologize for it. Conservative humor isn't trying to be funny. It's actually trying to be hurtful and offensive, and they don't care if they're called out for it. It also fails as absurdist humor when you realize that none of this is purposefully absurdist. It's how these conservatives actually see the world.
@@dracosolis7956 That's one of the things... say what you will about South Park or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, they have some of the crudest jokes on the face of the planet but they're jokes that are self-aware. When either of those shows make a joke about a topic like about censorship or abortion or racism they're rarely ever a tone deaf ones and they have a point to them.

One of the worst things about this movie, they claim they wanna protect women's sports but they don't even pretend to take women's sports seriously in this movie. The ending is the worst because they kick out all the women and replace them with little girls declaring that girls can only be baby vassals. These guys really hate women.
The movie literally has jokes about how no one cares about women's sport. Clearly they care about it enough to make a full movie defending their vision for it, though.
I do think it shows how flimsy they know their arguments are when they purposefully put little effort into the exaustive efforts most trans people do to affirm their identify. In fact even with drag just look at Alex in the drag bar, where's the makeup.

For people that don't know: for trans woman to compete in professional sports they need to have a testosterone level BELOW of the cis woman (enough for some to have health problems and deficiency) and go through the whole hormonal transition process for years prior of competing. What i don't see people adressing is the fact that most athletes, no matter the gender, that started their career early use growth hormones to become taller and stronger. Which already makes them completely diferent and in another level from "normal" people. As someone that missed a lot of opportunities I am too much aware of the modalities that are inclusive and the ones that don't...
4 years ago I had an accident and suffered pretty bad brain damage. I lost a lot of memories, developed Epilepsy and now suffer with short term memory loss (and for the millionth time, in case anyone thinks of asking, which I get a lot, it's not like Dory!!) My point being, I know what brain damage actually feels like, I've experienced it, I live with it daily. It's absolutely horrendous. And you're completely right, whatever *this* is... The extra damage done almost took me out completely. Just hearing your description of this film had me praying for a seizure 🙏🏻
I have PTSD-related memory issues, I really did completely forget about this movie until they forced this review to be edited and re-uploaded. Sometimes it really does come in handy. Unfortunately, the more times I hear about something the more likely it is that it'll get locked into my long-term memory. How the hell can one make a movie that’s whole purpose is to trigger people with their rhetoric/freedom of speech to only take down videos that talk about their movie?
They keep claiming it's about 'protecting sports', but it's not like they leave us alone when we aren't playing sports either. Us just existing is a problem to them.
So in the mind of the Daily Wire... a bunch of out of shape, middle aged men, well past their prime are able to outperform female athletes... Speaking as a wrestler myself... we have weight classes... the guys in the 120 weren't wrestling the guys in 175 like me... I mean i'm glad this review is back...but then i remember i have to hear the "jokes" from the movie again, in the very least i know The Daily Wire got their fee fees hurt and that's the funniest thing i have ever seen
I'll be honest, for a while I avoided reviews of Ladyballers. It's just so bad, so cringe, so embarrassing to watch even with the audio to 1.2% volume and the video dimensions of a smartphone sim card. This film feels like a """funny""" SNL skit, that ended up bloating into its own film (like "It's Pat").
The same people complaining about transwomen competing in women's sports are the same ones who have never cared about women's sports! Like really? Tell me you've actually ever given a shit about the WNBA or the LPGA for example, just say you're transphobic and move on
My favorite thing about this "movie" is that it wasn't meant to be a movie but a documentary, until Benny boi found out that what he was whining about wasn't actually a thing, and none of the guys were willing to actually take HRT and become trans to make the documentary, so he pivoted and made a fictional movie instead. He debunked himself… then went ahead and made a movie to pretend what he proved wasn't true is supposedly true. Great credibility there, Ben. 🙄
Them attempting to strike you out was quite the technical foul on top of the foul ball that was this movie. As an american shoving baseball jokes into this, I can easily say they should be disqualified from acting like they care about American Values like Freedom of Speech.
Is it just me, or is the title of the film a clear reference to a phrase usually only seen in erotic circles where the presence of testicles on a woman is generally considered a positive trait, often very validating toward non-op transfem people?
