What’s so painfully cringe about Fred’s character assassination is that he has always canonically been what we’d today call a “himbo”. He says some silly and even outrageous stuff, but he always has his heart in the right place. Yes he is portrayed as conventionally attractive, but he has a “nerd” hobby bordering on fixation. He is the perfect character to “get to white people” if that’s their attention. Show a positive example who could still use some correcting here and there, who could benefit from a bit more perspective. He doesn’t have to be a genocidal sociopath??
I feel like we live in a day and age where anti-censorship (as in, "I disagree with what you say but will die for your right to say it") became soiled by anti-cancel culture (which is literally an entire culture of "how dare you say things I disagree with! You should be dying for my right to say things!" - it's the clown version of anti-censorship and I think the anti-cancel culture people know it deep down considering anti-censorship advocacy already existed...they realized if they called themselves anti-censorship people would point out that they're clearly not so they invented anti-cancel culture so that they could leech onto an already existent movement while being it's entitled, whiny, stupid, and hypocritical poor man's version. I'm so glad people are actually starting to call it out. While I wouldn't say I am an anti-censorship advocate (I'm not pro-censorship I just wouldn't put myself in the same category as people I regard as anti-censorship advocates) even I'm offended by anti-cancel culture...it's just stupid and anyone who associates with it I instantly loose all respect for.
Wait, Velma was lesbian in Mystery Inc.? I recall she really tried getting with Shaggy. She was never lesbian. It's just a fantasy a certain group of people wanted to be real, acting like they owned the rights to the SD franchise. It only became canon in order to make said group of people happy and avoid unneeded backlash.
And to think how easy it really is to make Scooby Doo an “adult” cartoon, while preserving every single charming thing about it… especially at a time like this when the 70s and 80s are “trendy”… how did they flop so hard 😬 Velma and Daphne have more tension between them in the original kids’ series!!

My girlfriend is autistic, and while she isn’t anywhere close to nonverbal on the spectrum, she has never walked like the girl in the movie, and she definitely has not stuck out her teeth stupidly to my knowledge. It actually makes me disgusted to see a movie like that exist. While my gf does enjoy music, it’s not like she listens to it all day every day, all day. My girlfriend honestly just acts mostly normal. I guess nonverbal autistic people may have a different experience though, so I won’t speak for them.
Am I the only one who hears that the voice actors are practically waiting for this show to get cancelled like we are? Like they don't sound bad or uninspired, just noticably flat sometimes.
Said the professor from God's Not Dead is only an atheist because he's mad at god. This is actually the exact same mistake that religious people make about atheists. The professor is not an atheist at any point in the narrative because he believes in God all along while the single defining trait of an atheist is that we do not believe in God. You'll never catch me getting really mad at Gandalf because there's no such thing as Gandalf just like there's no such thing as the Christian God therefore saying an atheist is mad at God is an oxymoron. Kevin Sorbo is only pretending to be an atheist in order to flip off the God that he 100% believes in.
As someone who is autistic and been restrained in the second manner seeing that for the first time really made me sick. I almost got assaulted and my arm broken that way.. i knew this movie was bad- i knew the restraint scenes were bad but i wasn't prepared for the flashbacks it gave me.
One of my biggest pet peeves is why do people still to this day not actually know what chivalry was, how can they never know that chivalry had nothing to do with women (yes there may have been a female Knight but it was so very rare it didn't matter) chivalry is like Bushido it is how you act in combat not how you supposed to do things for women
Going to be honest here if you really hate the show do not watch it and don't look in to it. I didn't even know they made a season 2. The more you give in to the rage bait means the more publicity the show gets. If you really hate the show review bomb the first season or episode and then ignore the rest of it. It will die out from the lack of publicity and investors will see it won't bring money and it will eventually die. Simple answer ignore it.
Claiming that people would 'hatewatch' your show is the epitome of self-absorption. Because sure, I kinda hate this show, but watching people ripping it apart is way more fun and entertaining than watching the actual show. To 'hatewatch' it would still mean that I would give the show way more attention than it deserves and I am not going to waste my time with it.
It's so funny when conservative minorities get slapped in the face by the racism, sexism, homophobia they defend. It's like "Oh the swastika flags and white power symbols you defended as ironic for the past year were AUTHENTIC!? WELL I NEVER!"
Ben Shapiro geels like the type of person he thinks is his fan would draw as an antisemitic strawman meme cone to life an squeeking out the most low t who he thinks of himself as an alpha stereotype that no one would believe him if he was fictional.
Damn. So I Married an Axe Murderer is a film that I enjoy very much, so it saddens me to see one of the stars resort to being an abstinence preaching mom in a lifetime movie
Just…none of this is how fusion reactors work. They aren’t like fission reactors. They don’t melt down, they don’t have cooling systems. In this kind of situation a nuclear fusion reactor would either A keep running as normal or B just switch off. Like that’s the whole point of a fusion reactor, it’s safer and produces more power than fission. Thus, why every futuristic scifi ever runs off of them. Sorry, this film has other problems but that is personally irritating.
I'm conservative and I'll say it, "This movie fucking sucks." I haven't really seen another viewpoint espoused about this movie lol. That being said: I don't know why you lot have chosen to die on this hill that affects .05 percent of the population.
The fact she said that they felt like they made a good movie because they had good intentions was almost slapping me in the face with thinking of the phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." Sure you had good intentions sia, but you made the farthest possible thing from even passable at minimum
10:51 I would say it depends on how they are portrayed If it’s a non autistic actor who does an accurate or really good portrayal of autism, then I’m perfectly fine with it. However, If it’s an actor or someone doing a terrible and outright offensive portrayal of autism, then I’m very upset about it.
Thank the lord, I thought they were talking about Sierra Boggess, who’s done Broadway Phantom of The Opera, The Little Mermaid, etc.. I do not have to fight for her, lololol. 🙏🏼
