@@Terminxmanyeah but they don’t like it like the devil lady will say she’s fine with it but won’t ever do it herself and she seems kinda sad when you do it so idk I think she’s ok with it just really don’t like it she likes you all to herself
@@Terminxman Karlach agrees out of fear of losing you completely. You can tell she really isn't comfortable with it. The only one who completely doesn't care is Shadowheart
I don't think you "fix" her. I think you just show her the possibilities beyond what she knows, and you just believe she is brave enough to embrace the new and strange and wonderful.
@@TheStickofWar what was fixed? Lae'zel has always been like this, but with Tav she could be herself eventually. No longer feeling the need to live by Gith-standards as a cold-hearted killer, but finally be able to show more emotions than fear and anger.
I'd say Shadowheart is more like the "I can fix her" girl. But considering that if you let her make the choice on whether or not to kill Aylin, she chooses not to (at least in my experience), then that would take her out of the running for that title and give it to the next most logical choice....Astarion.
@@What_do_I_Think I would say Karlach rather than Gale (and yes I WOULD date Karlach) ;) Lae even says at one point in the beginning she really admires Karlach for being so direct and honest and powerful.
Oh my god, that warm and sincere little smile she gaves us after "Now, i see the colors between". She is happy and want to share her happiness, sincerely.
First playthrough I went for Laezel. No regrets. She was my girl. She IS my girl. And no, I didn't 'fix' her. People can't be fixed, but they can be shown love. Larian knew this already.
It's not something that takes a very wise person, even the worst people alive can love. Lae'Zel is a passionate creature, it was about redirecting that passion....So in a way, you fixed her. If not for your Tav, she would definitely be food for a certain wannabe God
I was going to do that too, six days in and a little vamp crawled into my cot and into my heart, Damn him for stealing everything, I'm the loot hoarder.
No they didnt. They made a genetically evil drow on an evil bound cult entrapment have a forced good alignment as if you didnt slaughter innocents to get to it. Larian is dumb asf. Have no right to deal with good and evil concepts in rpgs. Added the whole attempt to go pro masculine women for lazel then 180 to uncharistically feminine is stupid as hell. Too much bias and lack of material in their writing. Hope they never get another chance to ruin another franchsie because im certainly not funding those idiots again. They can ride the stupid train all they want there is a reason trends die fast and everything emboldened by them. A damn shame dragon age inquistion writing is god tier in comparison. All they did with lazel was poorly mimic the tomboy that secretly liked being wooed.
Yeah, it's insane how harsh they made the option after one of if not the best single scene in the game and such wonderful character development. I do like the response Lae'zel gives though if you pick it (savescummed all options for the scene and even then felt bad for it lol). Her calling you the source of her bruises but in a completely different tone than earlier is a really nice way to show her character growth but the option is an absolute no go when it comes to making the choice to stick with.
The facial animations are impressive for every single character, but somehow Lae'zel's expressions are still a cut above the rest. I don't know how they did it, but they made her expressions really pop. I love it.
you should praise devora wilde and all the voice actors😆because character expressions are mo-cap of va faces ♥ (if you ever watched voice actors "talking like their characters" you will see how similar they look when their faces are moving, not when still tho)
Lae'zel: "When all this is over, will you stay with me? For good?" 🥺 Tav: "I'm not sure, Lae'zel. You can be a lot to handle." Tav: "What am I, to you?" Lae'zel: "You are the taste of my tongue. You are the ground beneath me and the skies above. You are. And so we are." Tav: "Wait for me in camp." I can't. 🤣
I wish they gave us the option to go fight the false god with her. Sounds like an awesome way to end the romance and the game. Instead we got, 'Goodbye' and 'Abandon your people'.
@@ryuha3966Well that sucks then, cause I unfortunately don't like playing a gith. Perhaps someone makes a mod in a few months to make it optional for all races.
@@ryuha3966 Now I know non-gith are possible threats, but I mean, if Orpheus and Lae'zel are with you then the other gith should take a moment to reassess. The use of the fact you are an outsider and would be ambushed wasn't well thought out when considering the company you keep. AND being a great warrior/hero wouldn't hurt either.
Wdym goodbye and abandon your people? Isn't there literally the option to go with her to fight Vlaakith? At least what's why my human character did in my first playthrough.
Lae'zel learning to appreciate the beauty of the world instead of being obsessed with ascension and Vlaakith is one of my favorite character developments of the game, even so I prefer the ending where she basically became a freedom fighter for githyanki still on control of the lich queen, because it's just soo badass.
I thought she was funny and honest with how rude yet blunt she was in the start 🤣 kept her around because she was the only one I knew I could trust to be honest with me. Even started to snap back at her and poke fun at her looks when she would mock me. It became a game, to see which one would best the other. Anyways I just became the source of her joy last night in Act 3 lmao, I've no clue how this whole romance thing happened. Went from respect to dissing to playful banter to watching the sun rise together. Respect to the writers, cuz this romance was a bit subtle for me and caught me by surprise.
You can see how much effort they put into her character design. They wanted people to like her, despite her nose... that's why her eyes are gorgeous and lips are so nice. The black warpaint highlights the eyes even further. There is no noseless girl more attractive than Lae'zel in the history of gaming.
The journey Lae'zel goes through. How slowly, over time, one can chip away at the indoctrination, and show her the world. How she grows. It's just so well done. I can't even ;_;
When this happened in my playthrough I was surprised but smiling. :) I also loved the ending I got riding on dragons into the sunset to free our people (my character was a Gith too).
Make sure you make a save before she "challenges" you to a fight that no matter what outcome the romance will continue. Albeit if she wins, she basically decides that it doesn't matter and damn the consequences.
When i first saw Lae’zel, i didnt think much of her. I was more distracted by Karlach. But when i made a playthrough romancing her i fell head over heels for her. Her words are poetry, her actions are an art form, her voice is a song. She is my joy❤❤❤
I used to think Lae'zel was ugly but as I've played this game I got used to her weird githyanki face and I don't find it off-putting anymore, she kinda hot
Big agree. The first time I saw her I thought she was too weird looking to the point where I would've once considered her ugly. I ended up doing her just as a joke, but the more time I spent talking/looking at her and the more invested I became in her storyline, I started coming around. Her eyes are absolutely piercing, and her hair makes her look like a warrior princess. Also, credit where credit is due, Her voice actor knocked it out of the park playing Lae'zel. She has such a way with words, she sounds hot saying some of the most mundane things. Kinda funny that the companion with a base charisma of 8 talks like such a poet.
This is actually true for anyone. The more you know someone as a person and like them, the more physically attractive you find them. It isn't surprising you were put off at first, but humans look for genetic differences in their partners and so those exotic features end up making her hotter. So that's why Lae'zel is hot.
I was gith durge and I was gonna do my evil stuff without regard but lae’zel hit me with this and I saw this as an opportunity to do a redeemed durge run and it was 1000% worth it, I chose to be what gith hated most to save Orpheus in the end and as a gith I had the opportunity to go with them so I did… 10/10 run felt op throughout the game too as an open hand monk just flying around punching things 💀
This was such an amazing scene for me. First a comfort bang after Shadowheart turned me down, I never knee I would fall so hard for lizard alien girl. And then this scene. I wanted to be with her forever. And then - spoilers - I became a mind flayer to save her people. That was a step too far for her. She rode away on that dragon with a heartbroken look on her face. And I stared into the sea, brokenhearted myself, wondering if I would keep my humanity after all this. Was so sad. Game is so good.
Lae'zel can actually stay with us after we become a mind flayer. But, that ending bugged after patch 5 so right now we cannot got the good ending. If you interested, you can watch the good ending in my other video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o8c_EHSDfNo.html
There have been many excellent games over the years. Very, very few manage to capture a place on the very pinnacle, the apex of gaming. Super Mario World, Ocarina of Time, Mass Effect 2, Morrowind, CoD 4, New Vegas, RE4, Minecraft, Halo 3, Mario 64, TLoU, Dark Souls, and more. Baldur's Gate 3 might top them all. I've never seen anything close to it. It may truly have no equal.
For a Gith, this is unheard of... to Lae'zel her world has shattered and been reformed. Gith are duty, unwavering loyalty and devotion to the cause... and she is no longer that now... She was "freed" as she said, she see's now that there is more to life, more then duty, more then the cause. Love is a hell of a drug.
i love how much character development she gets when you romance her. as much as i’m team Shadowheart, she is a Lae’zel is an extremely close second simply bc of the way her character grows.
I loved this moment. It was true heartache when I took up the cause in the end and had to become an illithid. Because it meant we couldn't be together afterwards. Source of my bruises, she said.
Laezel is low key one of the greatest flips for me cause I thought I was going to hate her and as the game went on I was almost sad I romanced Shadowheart instead....and shadow heart freaken rocks man! If minthara wasnt a thing Id be romancing her on my next playthrough.
