I find when I don't include all the info that people ask a lot of questions. If the info is there you're able to skip through to find what you're looking for
We really need a lag test because I already received mine and it works but I wouldn't recommend it for online FPS, the analogue has a delay in very fast movements. Another example Take a test with the Resogun PS4 game on PS5 and see the difference. Thanks.
I'm working on it. There is so much cool tech now it's hard to film it all.. Ps5 slim this week Playstation portal next week Atari retro system The list goes on!
Have you tried it on any FPS games that don't "require" a DualSense controller. For example, PS4 games don't require a DualSense when played on PS5. I'm betting if you eliminate the dongle, you eliminate the input lag. Curious if you just wire the Elite straight to the USB port (no_dongle) -- if there is still input lag?
I'm thinking, should you use a r100 pro instead of the cable? Like, top side of this u5 adapter goes in the ps5, front part of the adapter goes in the r100 pro connecting to the xbox controller via Bluetooth? I got one of those r100 pros and I play ps4 games on my ps5 with it but just wondering if that'd work... Hope it's not too confusing lol great video, man!
Always love your videos. I didn't get a thing, you said Dualsense isn't locked out while using another controller, did you try to simultaneously use them? I'm asking this because if it's possible then you can possibly get misinput due to the stick drift on the Dualsense (I mean maybe in an fps with low deadzone).
100% correct on miss input If you have bad enough stick drift it may still cause issues. In my tests it worked fine. But likely due to stick drift not being that bad I did show that both still work in this video.
Xbox controller with asynchronous stick layout is much more ergonomic and natural resting. Not so much of a problem if you grew up with the ps style controller.
How about the thumb sticks? When you get stick drift, what can you do to fix it? On the DualSense Edge, all you do is get new replacement thumb sticks and switch em out. With the Xbox controller, you’d have to get a whole new controller
You can, but you need to make sure to reset the ps5 controller so it doesn't pair through Bluetooth. Even when wired up, it will favor the Bluetooth and cause issues
Dude, your Amazon link shows that dongle has 2.4 star rating which is horrible. So I'm guessing it no longer works and thus the horrible review rating...
I actually have elite 2 and everything is nearly perfect ct except 2 things. The grip feels sticky and the front ended wight of the brilliant battery makes the controller dip. I have the scuff instinct pro, which if using as a simple controller is great but like me if you wanted to swap the top triggers to bottom and bottom triggers to underneath buttons, forget it as its not customisable like that and as such sucks. Here's hoping I get the elite 2 working on ps5
The U5 is terrible, keeps failing / freezing, or making my player walk around on their own randomly during a game and I can't do anything about it. Really needs some solid firmware because at the moment it's a joke! :( I'm using it to play with my ps4 pad on cod but it's a mess :(
*UPDATE* it's working fine now. I think the loose usb port on my controller was the problem causing it to fail. Sorted the port so it's nice and tight, and the U5 has been perfect ever since 👌
The PS5 controllers injures my hands. I cant play my playstation this weekend or I will make the injury worse. Xbox controllers have a much better design. Also, when you set the PS5 controller down, it rests on the triggers which will wear them out more quickly. I really wish I had just bought an xbox like I have done in the past
Am I the only one whose doesn’t work? I have a brand new ps5 and brand new Xbox elite controller and did exactly what you did and still only my ps5 controller works. My Xbox one says it’s connected but won’t move anything
@@GearsAndTechWell that solves that, I guess I’ll just be getting an Xbox then. 🤦♂️ Was thinking about going with a PS5 and using the Elite Controller, but if that’s how Sony wants to play it, goodbye.
@@The_zenithgod when I rest my hands on the controller, my left hand is naturally higher basically using my left thumbs knuckle instead of my actual thumb. Not to mention just the overall shape of the PS5 controller is kind of dog shit. Trying to make it look sleek and futuristic ruined the ergonomics. I heard Xbox is working on a new iteration of their controller that will have haptics. At that point I believe they will have the best controller for gaming hands down
@@MichaelM28 in FPS games though, accessing the D-Pad is more difficult with symmetrical sticks as you either have to crab grip or take your thumb off the movement (left) stick. Take your thumb of the left stick and your character actually stops moving. With asymetrical you can use your right thumb to access the d-pad which is generally just the camera. Character doesn't have to stop moving.
Not trying to be rude but have you tried it in the month of February? Because on Amazon every since late January to all of February says it don't work no more. I'm just trying to double check from the guy that knows his shit before I buy it lol@@GearsAndTech
I find the ps5 controller and ps 4 to big for my hands. I find the Xbox controller since Xbox one has felt great. I'd rather have the sp controller but it's uncomfortably big
So, this no longer works. Is there another way to use an elite series 2 Xbox controller on ps5 exclusive games? Sony is not right blocking this method, I am disabled and the Xbox elite series 2 controller is the only controller that I can physically use.
My reaction time to the dpad on xbox is way better. Ps controllers having the dpad above is boo boos 😅 to be clear I grew up on ps1, and 2, and I still hate that controller.
Can somebody else connect their controller to the PS5 while I’m doing this? (Ex. I’m doing the Xbox controller setup in the video, and player 2 is using a wireless dual sense like normal) That possible?
I bought the besavior u5 and it’s not working. I don’t know why. The ps5 I have only has usb ports on the back and the cable I got with the controller doesn’t have a usb connection. I tried using other cables that do but that didn’t work either. I also turn on the settings for the ps5 to use usb but my controller still connects through Bluetooth even if I unplug it from the cable. Did I waste $60 or is there a solution to get it working?
Dual sense is cool and all but the Xbox controller even the basic bitch version is ergonomically correct to the human hand. Haley controller is just the best controller ever fucking made. Elite one was better elite 2 is built better but has bumper issues after about a year year and a half is my only complaint. I just picked up a PS5 to play helldivers and PlayStation controller just physically hurts my hand
@@GearsAndTech i do love the xbox elite adjustability - stick stiffness, trigger pulls, paddles, stick changes, hand rubber feel. I LOVE it. I just wish the sticks were symmetrical and it would be the world's greatest hands down. Dualsense can't compete with the quality and customization. So I'm stuck between both. Or just a Scuf PS5 for 2-3x more money than the Xbox Elite. SMH.
