I put this in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and I’ve cooked it for more than 40 minutes and it’s still not firm. 😢 it is still loose. I’m not sure if we have to cook it until firm? Or cook for the prescribed time and then it firms on its own. I cooked it in a 9” round pan.
Hi Roxanne beta i love The pudding nd the Bakkaras i will definitely try them n put up my pics. till then keep posting your lovely tasty recipes. God bless you beta.
Hello Mam, Just wanted to wish you a very happy Parsi new year (Navroz) Recently I am your subscriber I like the way you show / perform your recipes. I found it very simple and effective. Thanks
It's a standard measuring cup I didn't weigh it sadly but it's about 10-12 teaspoons of sugar .. hope that helps ☺️ I'd say taste it as the milk boils if you feel it needs more sugar you can certainly add more
I guess you’re using a microwave plus convection oven too since I see the turntable and rack. How do you manage to get the browning? Mine takes 1:10 mins on 180 C to brown like that.
Yes I did use a microwave convection oven for this. Honestly mine took quite a while it started to brown at about 12 or 15 mins. If you want to get a it of the browning but not have the whole thing get completely burnt on the top I would say cover it with foil or a lid and let the pudding cook. I covered mine half way. Hope this helps 😊
@@NKKK19 no no I mean it happens for me within the first 15 mins Soni have to cover it. If yours takes over an hour that's ok. Let it cook for longer to get a little bit of that char on the top adds to the flavour
@@NKKK19 No I mean 12 - 15 mins. This is really trial and error cos it depends on your oven/ microwave convection. I would say keep and eye on it. If it takes an hour to brown that's ok as long as the pudding cooks . If it browns fast like in my case just cover it. Covering slows down the browning process
It's optional honestly I didn't add it but you can add about a tablespoon or two when you are boiling the milk. Ideally before you add the sugar it will help to give it a thicker slightly creamier texture for the custard
You know I haven't tried baking it in a pressure cooker but I really don't see why not. This in fact I made in a microwave convection oven and I think the pressure cooker should also work but it will be an experiment and trial and error. I would say bake it for 25 mins in the cooker n see if it needs longer.
