Two days in the Lake District, covering 300 miles in total. Drive up to Keswick via Aira Force Waterfall, stay in Keswick overnight then heading across and down to Buttermere then heading on to Windermere.
Thanks for the comment Ron. I’ve heard a lot of bad things about LA traffic! In terms of the wife driving it, there’s nothing to be afraid of I’m sure we can both reassure her! Especially in rain mode when they barely want to move 😄
The V6, while not as fast as the V8s, has a great sound. It is plenty fast for the area where I live, we are blessed with abundant police representation.
I have just got shot of my 3.0s F Type after 14 months of nothing but trouble. 7k later after two banks of injectors and many other reliability issues it was time to call it a day. This was a car with only 55,000 miles and FMDSH. Very pretty to look at and nice to listen to but awful to own. Never will I touch a Jaguar product again.
Sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had mate, hopefully you have had better luck with the next car. No issues like that myself but injectors are one that you just need to accept as a common issue so should know that going into the car and not hold it against it.
I owned an XJS 5 litre for sixteen years and toured Europe only thing ever went was a high pressure steering hose , had a 5 litre XKR for eight years only thing was a leaking water pump , had a three litre F type , no issues , now have a five litre Ftype fingers crossed , all makes of cars have their own issues maybe you were unlucky
It´s like the V6 has a real voice and the V8 is just making alot of noise. But i love the quad exhaust. Can´t afford it anyway so i will go for the V6 :)
@@RyanBengal1 I too have a two cat household, a '16 3.0 S F-Type 6mt and a newly acquired '06 Xj8 VDP LWB 4.2. The F-Type has 33,000 miles, trouble free, the XJ8 has 81,000 miles, a few small items to correct, nothing to do with the running gear. The XJ8 was originally sold to Canada, then imported into Buffalo, NY, thence to my home in New Hampshire. It was converted to coil-overs while in Canada, the upper front A-arms were replaced at that time, possibly more, I haven't been under the car yet, only had it a month. I've been driving the XJ8, the F-Type will stay in the garage for another month until all traces of salt have been washed from the roads, it's never seen salt so corrosion of the steel bits underneath is minimal. Tata steel is lousy and they never painted it properly. I just discovered your channel, I've subscribed.
Thanks for your comment. I have to say it’s not bad comfort wise. This car has the sports seats which were an option and they are quite firm so it’s not the comfiest thing in the world but more than fine for trips like this. MPG wise the car tells me I’m getting around 27, that’s combined so on a trip like this probably lower down in the 20s. If it’s not motorway heavy. I think it was about £100 of fuel over this trip - not bad!
Looks awesome..You let the missus drive aswel...😂. Where did you travel from ? I'm in Berkshire so journey quite a way. I have the AWD 3.0 convertible white. Late 2018 model.
@@RyanBengal1 Yeah love the AWD. Bought it as not many AWD F-type P380 on the market. It's in mint condition. Currently has a car cover over during these months. Take it out for a quick drive on a dry day. Great with the roof down. Just clocked 16k mileage.
