@@DontcallmeaCuck bureau of reclamation is releasing water from upper basin to keep Powell power generation and then releasing to Mead to make it look better. The rains we are getting now are normal every winter. We aren't all of a sudden getting enough precipitation to make Mead fill up on its own.

That "first" man to die while scouting for the dam site, named J. G. Tierney, was actually counted as second after Harold Connelly, who fell from a barge on the river while scouting for a site as well, over a year and a half earlier. But Tierney, who was killed in a flash flood, had a son who worked on the dam. His son, Patrick Tierney, was the last to die, falling from an intake tower on the Arizona side. Both Patrick and his father died on December 20, 13 years apart.

I always thought that they were the 1st and last men to die during construction. And Sr, there are no bodies buried in the concrete.

@@billyg8360 I always heard it that way too, which is a better story. Connelly's death was early on, and not part of construction, but then neither was J. G. Tierney. As far as bodies buried in the concrete, not these two, and maybe not as many as legend has it, but I'm sure there is at least one, probably more in there.

I grew up playing baseball and just by Robert tossed the can to Sarah and the way she caught it, and by just that one swing I can tell Sarah is very athletic and she grew up playing softball. You can tell she’s good

Due to government intervention upstream. We had tons of rain in 2018, 2019, 2020 and Mead was still declining. Your government is making you think all is well.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, and we always had drought and flood cycles, but nothing as brutal as the last twenty some odd years. I'm hoping this wet cycle will continue, as it will take years for the lake to recover. It also depends on the snowpack in the Rocky Mountains.

Almost all the rise in lake Mead is due to releases from lake Powell. There are some very good vids on youtube about it.

@SinCityOutdoors. You all should do a series of where the water comes from to fill Lake Mead!!!! Travel up to Lake Powell and the Green & Colorado Rivers to see where it starts and how it gets there, and do a bunch of fishing and adventures along the journey! Maybe even catch some big Lake Trout at Flaming Gorge or some big Stripers at Powell. Let me know if you need any help.

Boy's I saw the lake when it was full. It was so incredible - especially some of the acreage flooded out to the West by the old ramp and the camping area. If you guys want to learn how to water ski, reach out and we can meet on the lake on a sunny April day.

I will guess up. We are surprisingly having an above-average SnowPack Winter here in Utah even after a very slow and dry start in December and January. We have about 1 more month until our snowpack usually tops out around April 5th.

Hey. The water used to be at the white line and on the Dam, we could have fished off of the towers. The brown mountain tops were islands. It was breathtaking to see, it was so immense. I don't think the water will ever be that deep again. There are too many people using it today to be able to keep gaining at a rate that would make a difference. I got to see the overflow once, in 1996. That was breathtaking too! Thanks for taking us along.
