Cheers mate, small lake but it's not always this productive here but today was a pretty good day considering I did lose one too. Basic patterns is all you need. Natural colours. If there's one fly I'd use in almost any situation if I could just pick one when it comes to fly fishing, it would be a pheasant tail, preferably in 16, 14 on maybe deeper pools of a river to get the fish attention more so but a pheasant tail in a lot of my fishing catches me fish 80% of the time which is a pretty high ratio with all things considered.

Thanks mate, yeah got to mix up the pace on the float tube, speed up and slow down to get onto fish, vary the pace. I often pick up fish when I speed up as the Fly generally will imitate a small bait fish. Yeah mist was a good shot. Cheers John

Yeah it was. It's not always like this on these high country lakes. You got to strike it when it's hot. That tally for this place presents a good day. Considering I did lose one too first up on the tube so it could of been better than it was but I'm content..
