Everyone got this preconceived notion that a quarterback has to throw for 400 yards and 3 TD a game. A quarterback is supposed to be a leader of the offense to obtain the most points as possible every game regardless of his legs and arm. The way I see it, Lamar is doing both exceptionally well. He has a great arm and runs better than most running backs! Very electric

With Vick, Kaepernick and others they were discouraged from running unless forced to. Coaches wanted to protect the QB position. Now the position will change. There will be more athletic QBs from now on - something that the league has traditionally been against.

His mom can NOT be his agent. She would have to be certified by the union. And to be certified, you must pass a very tough written test. Interesting fact; when a player signs with an agent out of college, the agent pays for the players training, usually about $10,000, up until the combine.

All so true for those who wanna know who missed out some of the best QB the media will never see due to them being told you have to become a wide receiver to play and this is from high school to college to the pros you do your own research on how many great QBs had to switch their positions because they didn’t fit their coaches mold because the coaches couldn’t think outside the tiny box 📦

Amen... We've been playing this way since the beginning. You're forced to play another position when you go to college regardless of talent or potential. Everyone has missed out on dynamic gameplay as a result. The quarterback should not be devoid of athleticism. I doubt a lack of athleticism would be accommodated if it were primarily a trait associated with Black QBs.

I remembered when Randall Cunningham took the NFL by storm with his scrambling ability at QB. Then watching Steven Young with the 49ers. And definitely enjoyed watching Michael Vick with the Falcons during his prime. Short of any major injuries, I do believe either Lamar Jackson or Deshaun Watson will lead their team to the Super Bowl. I wonder if Russell Wilson technically qualifies on what Watson and Jackson are doing? I think Wilson is the modern standard at the moment.

I think if anything I've learned this year in the NFL, coaching matters more than we like to admit. I don't think a lot of coaching staffs would do what Harbaugh did, basically revamp the entire offense to make it fit Lamar and not the other way around. Almost the opposite has happened in Chicago and the Rams forgot you need a good O-line if you're gonna have a drop back QB.

I love hearing the Ravens getting some love here! For being innovative thinkers, open-minded, and letting players be who they are, and shine in ways they are primed to shine. Ozzie is a genius. DeCosta is high-value, and they knew. He's been highly recruited as Ozzie's understudy, to become GM elsewhere, but Ravens knew to keep him with a promise of promotion down the line. I know there are varied opinions on Harbaugh out there, but I really like him. He values discipline and hard work, but is open to new things, and has gutsy calls, on and off the field. And Lamar is a gem! I am glad that Ravens... well, can't say took a chance on him, we always knew he does great things, that Ravens drafted him, and helped build a creative system around him, catering to his talents.

Jamiqus Smith oh yea most definitely. My Ravens will prevail in this one. Houston Defense is suspect. Lamar will have a great game. Deshaun Watson will be good, but not great. Our Defense is pretty stout. With the Addition of Peters our defense went to another level so far and i’m loving every moment of it. I really feel we can get to the big game this season.

I’m not worried about our Defense because our defenses is always great, but to have a eletric offense to go on top of that!! That’s a dangerous combination man. We Ravens deserve this. After the 2012 superbowl we haven’t had success the past few years before we drafted Lamar. The Sky is the limit for my Ravens. Ozzie, Coach Harbaugh and the coaching staff have done a great job. They built a powerhouse for years to come.

My apologies to the University of Louisville. I recently learned that this school didn't just give us Lamar Jackson. You guys have us another Baltimore legend, the late great John Constantine Unitas. I love Lamar, but Ryan Clark is DRUNK on this one. We've seen this before. Vick was the first QB to rush for 1000 yards and 900 in ANOTHER season. "On pace" doesn't quite cut it. And throwing for 4000 yards is almost the norm for ELITE QBs these days. 3000 is far from remarkable. He needs a Lombardi, but is in hood position. People talk like they missed Vick and Randall play. Smh

I agree with Ryan Clark over Foxworth in this case. I think what Clark says is closer to the truth and more compelling. There are certain athletes that just never come around but once. Messi, Federer, Woods, MJ, LeBron and now Lamar Jackson. He is a once in a lifetime athlete....
