Welcome to episode #16 of Noobs in disguise. Your 7th favourite starcraft II duo lambo and harstem are back to give you some insane Noob in disguise action. Email for replays: Harambosc2@gmail.com
The zerg was honestly very dead. 17 drones, would be mostly long distance mining, no enough money to start a new hatch, it's a ridiculously bad position, and this terran was terrified of lurkers, there was no chance of taking a good fight with them. Could be sat on top of production and the terran would have decided being elsewhere was the better idea.
But just because of that fear, he still should have engaged in hopes that the terran completely shits the bed. I would only have taken a few more seconds more, but in the unlikely case that it would have worked out, and that the terran didn't realise the extend of his lead directly afterwards, he still could have recovered.
@@Kaefer1973 if it didn't work out he couldn't have recovered. 17 drones on 2 mostly mined out bases versus what was it, 36SCVs on 3 bases, at least one of which could happily have floated to a fresher set of minerals? Not enough minerals or larvae to make that lead work, even if the terran spent 2 entire minutes rebuilding his army. Would probably have been worth a shot in the fight, getting on top of production might have won the game, or at least brought it vaugely even, but i just don't see it happening that the terran losses so much he wouldn't have enough to counterattack and kill the zerg before the zerg could kill him.
@@Santisima_Trinidad Yes, as I said, he would have needed to deal serious damage not just to builduings but also the army, and then have the terran not realise the difference in resources. It was a long shot but step 1, try to deal critical damage to some production and the defending army that hopefully doesn't base trade but rushes in in a preferably badly organised way, would only really have taken 20 more seconds, after which he still could have left (only staying in in case of both cripling the enemy army and doing at least some eco/production damage). It would have been very unlikely to succeed but also been a far more climatic and more satisfying ending even in failure.
Thanks for the score update. I felt like I needed that. Also 800 points difference looks like a lot but that can still easily be fixed with a single bad guess. The recent guesses were quite good but this might just be because of the relatively high level games.
