You should be checking the lighter test closer to the filter... your flow is too strong... a bit turbulence there but not bad. I'd recommend getting a fan speed regulator .. they are like 8 bucks I think and you can dial it jn perfectly.
Dzięki. Wymiary filtra to 610mm x 305mm x 80mm. Wentylator to Planet 1. 840m3/h. Przy oporze 250Pa daje jakieś 370m3/h. To najdroższy element komory i jego koszt to około 1000zł.
Hi, Box dimmensions is: Length: 647mm Width: 400mm High: 342mm Air flow direction are down, to the bottom wall. When box is full of air, air flow to the filter. I think that width may be litle bit smaller but not much. Filter width is about 100mm, then wooden flange 20mm. Width of the fan flange is about 100mm. I think that I can decrease width to 300mm.
@@areksz.7161 Thanks! What fan can you recommend for a hepa filter like this: 305 x 610 x 78mm? an Amazon link or where I can buy one would be great! :)
very nice !! I have been trying to buy a (2' w X 4' l X 1' d) Fan filter unit up here in canada and am not having much luck due to shipping costs being 2 to 4 times the amount of the units that I want & have decided to build my own. I've been quoted between ($280 to $800 for the FUU) & $470 CAD to $1,300 CAD for shipping depending on where the unit is coming from (USA, China or India) do you have the make & model number of the fan so that I can look up the specs to figure out what fan I would need for a larger unit ? thanks
What is your filter dimensions? If you want I can calculate, what power of ventilator you need. We selling ventilators, HEPA filters, pre-filters, and laminar flow hood for assembly in home.
@@areksz.7161 Hi I am interested in this.... Where can I write you? Where do you sell the parts needed to assembly one? Thanks for the info I would appreciate it
@@ambrosioplaza3899 Hi, you can visit www.planet-of-mushrooms.com. At this moment you must wait 4 weeks for new laminar flow hood. For filters one week waiting. You can buy also blower if you want. Go to the page and use contact form.
Cześć Cezary. Dzięki. Filtry możesz kupić na www.planet-of-mushrooms.com. Wysyłka jest z polski, ale trzeba czekać 2 tygodnie na filtr, ponieważ produkowane są pod zamówienie.
Please can you give specs for the filter and fan? I think I have a similar filter spec and am struggling to find an appropriate fan. 610 305 150 mm. 200pa/0.8in w. Thanks so much.
Thank You for your comment. That is simple and very usfull equipment. My prototype works for 10 years without problems. I change filters only :). In version 2 frame is mounted for 4 screws. That is very handy when you change the filter. Changing take 2 minutes.
@@AquaMayne I use this in clean Enviroment and I do not change filter yet :). I Do not Have plans but It Is Similar Like in Freshcap Project. But my HEPA filter, has seal in the back side of the filter not on the front Side Like in Freshcap project. That why I have Frame Inside The Box.
@@areksz.7161 Nice! I just bought the same size filter. What blower do you use. I'm thinking a Dayton 1tdt8 will be the best one for me. Do you have the link to the pre filter you use and the static pressure drop of the pre filter. I'm not sure if My blower I get will handle a pre filter too. My hepa is a 1.0 static pressure.
@@AquaMayne This Dayton blower looks quite nice, but in Europe we use other measurements. No CFM. I need to know what CFM means and how to explain it to European technical language :).
this is a nice design, but is not a hood. Looks like it has adequate cabinet size, baffle, blower and filter, to possibly achieve laminar flow. However, a hood has an enclosed workspace, which this design does not provide. It may actually achieve laminar flow, but is not a hood. Depending on the price, this is possibly a really nice unit.
Hi WhiteBeard, Thank you for your comment. Yea you are right. There is no hood but name of that product sound better with that word. Just kidding :). I think that box is too small for hood. I like work without the hood because my hands are more freeble and I see better (I wear glasses :) ). With good blower it is work very nice even without the hood. (filter width 25'', 60cm). I think that longer width, for example 50" (120cm) is more suitable for hood becaue is more space for hands and so on. Tell me what price will be fair for that equipment?
Thank you for your time and comment. I think that you talk about Fan Filter Unit (FFU). If i'm wrong, show me this units. You are right it is has adventages but has also disadventages. The most important disadventages is that this unit should be used as a laminar flow hood in environments where there is already sufficient air filtration or treatment for general laboratory use Look what 'Fungi perfecti" write about it. It can be use only in clean lab enviroment. It is not good choice for home enviroment. fungi.com/collections/laboratory-equipment/products/self-contained-air-filtration-unit That one from my movie you can use even in dirty garage :). That is the different. I know that metal is stronger that wood and pretty. Plywood is also strong. I have one box 10 years old and works without problems.
Hi, The most expensive part is blower. But only with that blower you can achive Laminar Flow. Some peoples make boxes with blower behind the filter but this equipment is only substitute real laminar flow hood. The best way is using blower with rectengular flanche and with dual side air suck. Blower with one side air suck are cheaper but are not good for laminar flow hoood.
@@mensinanis5274 Cost of the blower is only 350 euro and you don't buy good laptop for that amount :). That is industrial blower with dual side air suck. You can buy cheaper blower for 150 euro but that will be blower without dual side air suck, and without rectengular flanche and with plastic body.
