Today I wanted to change up my altar for the coming Sabbat of Lammas/Lughnasadh. It isn't a large change, but enough to really help me feel the seasons changing even if the British weather is a little unpredictable.

I love how open you are about customizing things to fit your needs. Everything I read always seems so strict with dates and times and this and that. You really make it seem like witchcraft is customizable and suits whatever you wish. 😊✨

I always used to feel bad for that too. But the last few years I've been really chill with it. Last year I only celebrated 3 of the 8 and it was fine actually. Don't feel bad hun. 😊

I don't know exactly why, but whenever I watch these videos I get such a wonderful wash of calm over me, right deep into my spirit. In my chaotic, busy life I so rarely get the time to just still my mind, and I love to use these videos to do just that! 💖

So happy to know that I’m not the only one who periodically switches their altar/space up just to see something new! My Lughnasadh altar was outdoors this year. The first time I’ve ever done a ritual outside!

This will be my first year celebrating Lammas, and I’m going to try and set up a small alter as soon as I can! I will definitely have a small pumpkin on there, and maybe a card from my Gia Oracle deck. But most definitely, my good old cinnamon broom will finally be out and about in my room once more! Autumn and winter are my two favorite seasons, so I’m so happy to finally be edging into the darker side of the year again. 🎃 ✨Also, your altar is gorgeous!

1st Lammas celebration for me and the Grove I've joined. We made daisy chains and corn dollys. Charged some charms and did a ritual, was amazing.

On my lughnasadh altar I have celestite, I feel the light blue goes nicely, I have a goldstone heart shape next to these geodes. I also have two apache tears to represent the season growing darker and as harvest time progresses I intend to add darker bits. I have a card featuring a lion, opposition from the oracle of the black doves deck. I have in a trinket box red calcite, a monarch butterfly, and robin's eggs once again adding that blue touch. I have pyrite as this is the season I do prosperity workings, and green calcite. Finally I have my own herbal packets about. Herbal spice blends. Goldenrod for prosperity, Russian sage fro dream work, and yellow rose and cinnamon tea. I will be celebrating the whole of the season up until Samhain and then the altar will have changed. Things I do to celebrate are harvesting plants for workings, teas, and crafting, divination, prosperity and dream work ritual.

Hi! I have a video suggestion: I am trying to understand the different types of rituals (not sure if that's the right word for this) in spellwork and when they come most in handy (what kind of spells they work best with, what their outcomes are). By "rituals" here, I mean mojo bags vs spell jars vs candle magick, etc. I heard recently (I believe from one of your videos) that when using a small candle in candle magick, it can lead to different results than when using a larger candle that burns for much longer, so that's what got me thinking about this larger question. Love your videos; your compassion and desire to keep everyone informed, grounded, and confident in themselves is inspiring and highly appreciated :) Thank you!

I agree with the pumpkins! I have started a bit of harvest added into my decor even though it's a broiling 100 degrees in florida. But I turn the a/c down low and set my autumnal things out. It fills my soul. My fav time. You did a beautiful job for the season

I am also a mum and what helps me when I'm struggling is remembering that a happy mum makes for happy children (in my experience not necessarily strait away... but the model of someone who takes responsability and action for their own wellbeing is very strong and works long term) and if all else fails I confort myself with "this too shall pass (and if it doesn't by the time they're 18 then it won't be my problem anymore!)" ;) My thoughts and blessings to any parent struggling (which includes myself on a regular basis!) ;)

Please discuss rabbits and the iconography of a hare in witchcraft. I have been told they're inspirational throughout the history of English magick in particular, but haven't found this detailed in books. Rock on, Hearth

I love your alter. Hearth I hate to cook! Little tip: a 🍞 bread machine. Lol Makes great homemade bread. Its very easy - no fail. Our first harvest is wheat. Which happens the beginning of July. So I kind of start Lughnasadh around then and keep going with it until the nights stay consistently cool. It is still very hot here, 102° today. This weather will continue well into September. Then we will finally have the start of Autumn, 🍂 my favorite season! Blessings dear Hearth!

I always plan to bake for the Sabbat but it is always way too hot to turn on the oven. So, I make Flatbread on the BBQ and salads from my garden or farmers market to celebrate.

Magnific! I’m loving the idea of having the freedom to actually experience the whole season. I know this is a very private thing for most of us so I thank you for sharing your alter with us? As for that Hare I haven’t been able to stop thinking about here since seeing her in one of your other videos. Any chance you remember where you got her? I will decorate my altar, like you I don't rush on the actual dates. I take it as it comes. The ones I'm looking forward to and always go all out for is Mabon and Samhain.

It would be really awesome if you could do a pet safe way to practice. I have parrots and so many practices arnt safe to do around them, scents, smoke, smudging, salting, all are toxic

Hearth i have a important question,can i be a Muslim and Witch at the same time? if i cant,can i be a witch as just hobby?

I hope that Hearth will confim my answer but yes, you can absolutly practice witch craft and have what ever other religion you choose. Witchcraft isn't a religion and therefore you can practice witchcraft and be a Muslim. There may be certain practices within witchcraft that aren't compatible with your faith but as nobody includes all practices in their craft you can just avoid those that aren't compatible with your ethical framework. Hope that helps... (and happy (soon to be) new year)

Scallion: communication, prevents misunderstandings. If you want herb correspondences just ask Google. Ex. Scallion Magical Properties. Llewellyn's Complete Book of Correspondences By Sandra Kynes is a great book for correspondences.
