Well ... While I truly am grateful for the free visual guidance shown here (and I thumbed the video up for that) for the viewers, I simply can't overlook the "attention to detail usually present when the car belongs to someone else" seen in the video. Bang, boom, clang, pa-bang, try_this, hit_that, dangle_this, throw_that. That's exactly why I maintain my vehicles myself. A tip for the watchers - there is a reason the handbrake did not want to come apart - "slacken" is the word.
As other fellas said in the comments... You are working on somebody's car! I can't imagine myself watching the video of some "mechanic" leaving the brake calipper hanging on the brake line on my Discovery. This is EXACTLY how not to do it. It would have more sense to name your video "How not to...". I was feeling weird in the beginning of the video when I saw that calipper left there standing, next scene hanging and the last obvious scene will be owner on the side of the road calling tow truck because he is lost all the brake fluid. Shame. I won't even comment those attempts to remove the wheel nut...
If speedo is also out then 99% sure that the wheel speed /ABS sensor is the reason. Either partially unplugged, wire damaged or the sensor not in place correctly. Or faulty sensor. If sensor is faulty and wear is visible on it, then there is an underlaying serious reason for that - ASAP back to service. These sensors should last the lifetime of the car usually.
