I’m going to try this. I’m a beginner in quilting. I have made three quilts but I’m ready for something like this. At our guild meeting they had show and tell. They were all art quilts. Now that’s all I want to do. I start a friendship group in September and this art is what they will be concentrating on. I’m so excited about it. In the meantime I’m going to clean up my stash cause I have alt of these colors. Thx for a great tutorial

Your painted skies, you said with watercolour but is that possible with acrylic or oil?? I was a landscape oil painter and it would be fun to quilting and painting in the same piece!!

Is there a part 2 where she shows the bottom part of the one with the painted sky? It looks like it was made with various fibres.

The sky was actually painted fabric, rather than pieced. The painted portion was outlined with free motion quilting.

I disagree with placing the water fabric…. Highlands are rugged and depends on the waterfront to the background , The video itself ladies is fantastic ❤
