That has to be the most hilarious dead on the inside look at the camera during the "test it" ever. Not the biggest Laphroaig fan but this might be something to try, I love a good sherry finish.
hahahaha "you are so annoying" You guys crack me up! Think this is one of the top 5 whiskies i tried in 2021 Keep on dramming and the shenanigans. Love and Peace!
The great thing about these days is no one says anything about me drinking alone! Haven’t had the pleasure as of yet but look forward to this offering 😎
Love it, been watching for about 6 months. Going to OKC soon so I will visit The Well. Going through Wichita though on my way down. Curious where you all shop for scotch?
Wasn't able to stop in Wichita, but was able to spend over $400 dollars on scotch at The Well. Talk about a gem of a store. They had scotch on hand that I haven't seen outside of overseas websites.
I wish I hope I'll get the tray glass of this whiskey when I get out to Las Vegas as I'll be moving out there at the end of the month.. for now I'll have a glass of my belvini Pete week 03. Thank you gentlemen for recommending this whiskey it is truly delicious just as my fourth bottle
unfortunately since tariffs hit I haven’t bought any of Laphroaig, they became to expensive for what they are. imo. This one is $90 here and 10 CS is $80, even regular 10 is $65.Nice review as usual! Cheers dummies!
Best Test it I've heard in a long time. I've not seen this bottle, but interested in how it compares to the regular Triple wood. Cheers Scott and Bart 🥃🇨🇦🇺🇲
I picked up the Scarabus, partly on your guy's recommendation, as well as the Whisky Vault guys. Wasn't going to drink tonight, until watching you guys drinking this (what looks like) a tasty gem. You also have inspired me to head into town tomorrow and hit the local liquor store for something similar to this. Not sure if they will have this.
I agree with you Scott 60% or 70% sherry the remaining peat. This was very straight forward on the sherry . It still had the Laphroaig charters just sherry forward………..97pts👍
Love the test iiiiiiiitt....... Hope one day more whiskey channels cross each other... like ADHD Matt Madness..... you should be invited.... Great vid... soon as you took the taste, I could taste it... had the select last night. Cheers from Montana...
I literally picked this up today knowing nothing about it. I was searching for Oogie and got this instead. Bart hit the nail on the head. Ssssavory meat for days. The nose has a sort of Christmas ginger thing going on. This may be the best Laphroaig I’ve tried. Would love to compare this next to Ardbeg Oogie.
Funny story, the first time I saw a STD video in ~2017, I made it halfway through "IIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTT" and clicked on to the next video. i've come around since. =D
“I said glass” 😂 If Scott’s palate was working he’d be able pick up on the Sherry in there, though even Bart had trouble picking up on the Sherry. 91 makes me really want to try this. Sounds like they need a cask strength version of this. Might be liked by those who don’t like the iodine/ash tray peat.
Tried it in a bar but haven’t found it in a store yet it does have a lot going on. Lots of salty meaty flavor and I thought the peat was only slightly tamed by the sherry. Great dram, 92 for me, but where’s the cask strength version?!
What are those low stemmed nosing glasses? My only complaint about the standard Glencairn is that they won't hang in a glass rack. These would be the ticket.
@@leojanuszewski1019 it seems to be seasonable. I can get a bottle at mom & pop place now but only because bourbon is much more popular here in Tennessee. I was able to buy a bottle a year ago for $56 at the big national store but now it’s over $80. Same price as this one.
