I tried searching on google Lara Croft in game models and didn’t find a video I was looking for I found a video I thought would be like this by a channel called “the gamer” and it was more of an educational/telling you how she changed kind of video then I went to bing typed in “Lara Croft in game models” and I found your video thank you my curiosity is at rest now.
This is.. amazing. Especially the music made my stomach do a sommersault; these games are filled with nostalgic memories. From before I can even remember, I watched my mom play the first ones, and have grown up with the TR games ever since. Amazing.. Thank you.
Well done! Stella/TR FB linked it and I was thinking wow after all this time? Its been up for a couple of years! And I realized it was a new version! I'm still surprised the old version doesn't have many views, it should have much much more!
Awesome video! Really nice to have all the theme songs mixed together too, fun to see how they're all pretty similiar in a way. I hope someone does an Anniversary-like remake of all the games - the same stories and locations as in the original games, but with modrenday graffics.
It's the track 'A Survivor is Born' from the latest Tomb Raider. This part of the music starts at 2:03 in that track. The music is composed by Jason Graves.
As someone who has loved the Tomb Raider series since game one, this video is amazing and nostalgic and reminds me of good times playing this series. Thank you for making a great video.
The PS1 Lara seems to get angrier with every game xD Great video anyway - I remember playing the old TR games on the PS1 a lot as child - and although back then I found them extremely difficult, those are still some good memories.
I cannot get over how "angry" and "mean" she looks in all the former games, but in the newest, she has a much more soft and innocent face. It's nice to see the evolution. ^^
Damn girl, that's fierce! Lara in The Guardian of Light was the best look for her and I hope they will use it for the next games! :D Now, that's hot! Although, TR AOD and Underworld were also good! :D
and the skintone is slightly yellower in TR3, TR2 is more pinkish. Also some textures are compressed differently, showing different pixels. But the difference is very very small.
No I didn't :) If you look closely you can see the Chronicles Logo appear besides the The Last Revelation logo. The ingame models from these two games are completely identical, so I decided to show it this way. Just one model with two logo's. I thought about adding the Chronicles Title music, but it would become too cluttered and messy, so I just added the TLR music.
oh that music give me chills in a good way, 1997 many a night until 3am trying to figure out the puzzles and the playstation logo the playstation was my first console from dixons it was like 300 quid. iv got an xbox 360 now.girly gamers unite woho. im 35 still loving it. on mass effect just now finish tomb raider last week. boho
Very true! Sadly TressFX isn't possible in XNALara (which I made the renders with), since it is a shader based technique. But if it was possible I would have done that!
Great video, but if this is the case and you wanted to use the best model from each iteration shouldn't you use the PC model with tressFX for the 2013 model?
I would have used the PS2 model of Legend not because it was the intended look but it'd stress the "evolution" better. It went from "360" to "PS2" to "360 from Legend to Underworld. Otherwise great video.
Actually TR2 and 3 had some differences. TR3 model had slightly more beefed up shoulders, a bit more ab muscles, tiny differences in the faces and her knees looked a lot better. However, her waist... well... let's just say she was completely cut in half. It's all hard to see unless you have the two models side-by-side on an image.
Angel of Darkness was the best. POINT. The Storyline was just awesome. But anyways - ALL games are great. And every game has Parts, we'll always remember. (Dino-Fight-Scene, the 'DEATH'-Cut-Scene, Kurtis Trent - just to say some of them)
Yes, I was thinking about this too. The older version of the video did have the PS2 model. But in the end I decided to follow the rule: 'Take the best possible model from every Tomb Raider', and so I decided to take the Next-Gen Legend Lara.
I dont know if you heard, but some fans and developers are making a non profit game, called The Lost Dominion, a sequel to Angel of Drakness! Look their page on FB for news! As for remake, thats not gonna happen! Even if the game is top notch, it will have a reputation of the original! Serious money is invested in games, they remake hit games, not disasters hoping to get better! However, AoD was my favourite and is still, and if Core did everything as planed, it could have been the best TR ever!
I knew it! Im not the only one who knows that the tomb raider 3 lara is different from tomb raider 2! They made her nose look like she had a cold and made her shirt more darker
which ones? did you finish legend time trials? im stuck in kazakhstan time trial and bolivia redux time trial i am trying to unlock all outfits i only have 3 more outfits left the bikini ones and amanda winter
I'd love to see a remake too, but it's never gonna happen. Core doesn't exist anymore, and Crystals won't even touch it (and hell, I wouldn't want them to touch AOD, cos they'd screw it up).
Love Lara Croft! A big part of my childhood and the first 2 will always hold some of the fondest memories. Aside from the first 2 the only other looks I really liked was Angel Of Darkness and now the new Tomb Raider. I feel that the new Tomb Raider gives a really realistic portrayal of how she would look and a believable / thought provoking / detailed story of her first journey which shapes her into the Lara we all love.
I like TR 2, Last Revelation, Chronicles, Angel Of Darkness!!! (the best), and Tomb Raider reborn (2013). The worst for me are: Legend, Anniversary and Underworld (cuz it was too easy to kill the enemies. Very easy to play)
The first will always be my favourite. To be honest, I never played AoD for more than a couple of minutes. Didn't like the new way of controlling Lara. Felt too stiff.
