This is not a bad item for the low price ($35). The only major drawback is the use of ABS plastic for the sheath and handle scales. ABS is more fragile than FRN. This is a long bayonet, almost like a short sword. This is a lot of fun to throw and would also make a suitable “cheap and dirty” hogsticker.

I have a real M1 Garand bayonet that I got on eBay a few years ago. It's awesome and unused so it's still unsharpened. It's amazing that a soldier was expected to carry that, in addition to his gun and pack and other equipment and uniform.

Bayonets should have a slight edge but aren't supposed to be sharp. They are made to penetrate, not chop firewood or hack limbs off.

@@HeWhoHasRisen3500 ehh Idk about that one all knives are supposed to be sharp..these bayonet came unsharpened and unfinished like the mossan nagant very ruff around the edges but one polished up they are an excellent rifle

I enjoyed "seeing it". That was a fun video of a cool bayonet. When I was a boy of about twelve I remember going to the local Army Surplus and picking up a bayonet for very low cost. I didn't have much pocket money so it must have cost me very little. Wish I still had it to play with.

Just saying that ain’t really a M1 Garand bayonet the M1 Garand had a much short at 14 inches for blade and handle. The bayonet you are throwing is the WWI US M1905 bayonet for the M1903 Springfield, the M1905 Bayonet was a nice long 20 inches of blade and handle

also fits on an m1 Garand the shorter ones you are thinking of are the same blade... they shortened them. I have a 3,7 millionth M1 Garand (1945) with its original long UFH bayonet (1942).

I must say excellent job on the throwing, I have the shorter version and it is an excellent knife for throwing as well as field hunting and survival. I wondering one thing, usually you throw a bayonet with the blade since as the saying goes “if it’s handle heavy throw with the blade”(like a bayonet) “if it’s blade heavy throw with the handle”(like a Bowie knife) I’m wondering since this a such a menacingly long blade should you throw with the handle?

I feel the handle makes it easier to grip and throw more strongly, so because it is heavy it's easiest to throw from the handle.

Is there a way to attach that sheath to your belt ? I didn't see anything on that sheath that looked like you could wear it on your hip.

Think it would fit on my M-4 (M16)? Thanks The stainless steel M16 bayonet that Budk has DOES NOT fit on a M4(or) an M16 either. The muzzle(Barrel) hole is way to small. :(

Herb Walker the bayonet is an M1905 pattern, for use on the M1903/M1 Garand service rifles. If you need a bayonet for your rifle I recommend finding a surplus M7 bayonet, which generally are quite affordable.

I know this is 5 years ago but are you referring to the G81 you can pick it up for around $30 blade is black with a wicked saw on top..if you are then you are absolutely correct, probably the best knife ever made considering quality, durability, versatility, and affordability. Excellent for throwing, you almost can’t miss.

isaiah the hillbilly it has the standard M1910 hooks, used by the U.S. Military from wwi - Vietnam. If your belt has holes in it for hooking things on, probably but if not you’d need an adapter.

ghoste I’d not recommend them in the slightest, just because they are quite expensive, plus they are a piece of history. Just on their aspects, speaking for a decent repro I’d say probably. They come in variants, the m1905 which has a 16 inch blade and the M1905a1 which has a 10 inch blade, the 16 inch blades are a lot more rare for originals, and so I would not recommend using a real for. A reproduction of a 16 inch would probably do alright but there are definitely better options out there for practicality.

How about that. Your Bayo is about the same size as my Rodent Rucki, and I use it for my Long Knife, but with mine, it chops, batons, and is a pretty good formidable self defence weapon in the bush, of and mine has a choil, alot of times I can use it as a knife without putting it down for a smaller knife, WoW Israel your good at throwing.

hey Izzy I used to own an M1 Garrand and the bayonet was much shorter -it was original I checked the cartouche - the blade was 7-8 inches --why is that one so long?

guncotton 1 because it is the WWII M1905 bayonet, originally designed for the M1903 rifle. The M1 bayonet is the 10” variant designed during WWII for the M1 Garand. The one you had was a post WWII USGI design used around the 1960’s by National Guard units and such.

Very cool I have seen better replicas at AtlantaCultery; as far as the length of the blade is concerned for carry use in my State there is no length limit I have seen people carry KA-BARS, full size Bowies and other long fixed blades, on one occasion I even saw someone with a sword on there back. that if you ask me is a little much LOL.
