I love this song. My wife was listening to it the other day. I watched her cry because it made her think of her grandmother that passed away about 11 years ago. She was raised on this song and when she hears it she wishes she could reach out and touch her grandmother just one last time.

i played with larry for 12 years.. i loved him dearly i sang tener on this song ..i was proud to have to played and sang with him ,, and i miss him dearly..!!!
my mother was born in a old cabin in a small mining town, in tiptop kentucky, when I heard this song it helped me connect with her and what it must of been like to live such a simple life. thanks for this song
Bro. Larry is miss a lot. I'm proud to have work beside him early years in Pikeville, Ky. My best memorial's is going to Gospel singing at church's. Hope and prays are with Ricky and his brother. One day we will sing and praise with Bro Larry again. Until that day keep on keeping on.
Yeah Ik what your saying I also heard this song when I was young and loved It since the first time I heard It and It does remind you of the good times with family that has passed on... All of our older generation mamaw, papaw, great Aunt and Uncles and now the next generation my aunts, uncles and cousins... my daddy has dementia such a cruel disease and I hear this song and think I'd love to be able to go back and would love for him to be able to remember to go back...we're still blessed to have both our parents thank you Lord!
