A great friendship like that is worth more than anything money can buy.. Larry has a great natural sense of comedy. Patrick Duffy has the gift of the gab and is so eloquent.
R I P Mr Hagman you played JR with such intense passion that we sometimes did not know where JR finished and Larry Hagman began but you left your mark that,s for sure.
It was really lovely to find out that behind the scenes the actors really got on well and became really good friends, and watching these two together is just so enjoyable.
I've been binging Dallas. What a great show that snuck in very relevant topics of it's day, lots of firsts on tv. Love it and miss it. Wonderful actors perfectly cast. I always crushed on Larry before Dallas. His light and love always came through. Wish that I could spend a day with Patrick Duffy, something very special and spiritual about him. RIP Ken Kerceval, you ruled as Cliff. Thank you all for your work and dedication to your craft. 💛🙏
I’m a new follower of the original Dallas because having been born in 81 I never really knew it but I definitely love the original more than the new one... I love classy old Dallas!! RIP Mr. Hagman 💕💕
I remember when Patrick Duffy breifly left the show due to the deaths of his parents. Larry begged Pat to come back. What a friendship they had. Trivia: Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs) and J.R. Ewing (Hagman) were neighbors in Fort Worth.
I myself never seen the first Dallas {heard of it} and jumped to watch this one {huge Larry fan}....Must say I'm online watching the older Dallas just to get the relationships down...LOVE IT and so glad they brought Dallas back...=)
Matt Beeman I pretty much feel the same way. I was a college kid when Dallas started. Close to 20 and I was a long way from doing anything. Thrilled working part time for a major dept store. Doing a couple model shots for friends. I lived at home most of the time. I was in my early 30s when I got into a good career. This show is about kids whose families owned companies so it’s not too surprising if they finished college by 23-24 and had a very good career job waiting.
When Harry took off his hat, Patrick said "Owh ! too much reflection !" 😁 Can we imagine this kind of humor between Bobby and JR ? Two different universes.
Most informative interview with these 2 actors who became best friends and also Linda. I hadn't seen this before; enjoyed both of their comments. RIP...return if possible Larry Hagman ;) Betty Gordon, Ames, Iowa longtime fan of both of them in their prior tv shows. PATRICK, YOU ARE 1 WEEK OLDER THAN ME ;) My sympathies on the loss of your wife of 40 years. My late hubby, Jack Gordon, and I also made 40 years with him passing away the next month!
i bn watching the original Dallas and it is sooooo good i knew Larry was on the new one but i didn't know Patrick and Linda were too now more than ever i want to see it.
Larry Hagman looked each time in TV Like JR . Often he was a guest in German TV and each time he wears the stetson. 😅Texas hut, I don' t know, how its called right. My Mom and I watched in the eighties each tuesday night " Dallas" and after the Film, we talked about.☺️ A beautiful time.
Nobody could ever do J.R. Ewing like Larry Hagman did..He will be missed and I hope they will continue to air the new Dallas. And give J.R.the ending Jock Ewing got and keep the memory of Dallas going.
the chemistry of the cast is magic. They all had a great friendship. Linda and Patrick are still in contact with the others and they meet each other very often.
#LarryHagman so humble and amazing gentle grateful heart.......It is so crazy how His character JR Ewing be such a brilliant villain mastermind and despicable President of Ewing Oil......but I loved every minute of it. I am more addicted today as I was back in 80'ssssssssss #DALLAS #FORTWORTH #SOUTHFORT
I heard on one of the FB pages, somebody said to JR, there’s an e-mail for him. I loved his response....my generation doesn’t e-mail. We talk face to face.
I miss the Dallas tv show with Patrick Duffy @ Larry hagman I miss Larry hagman when he passed away in 2012 @ I got emotional when Bobby Ewing died in 1985 @ then came back to life in 1986
The Dallas re-boot was terrific. Josh Henderson & Julie Gonzalo stole it though. They were freaking AWESOME !! Every scene they were in was rewind, DVR, photographic, whatever TV !! Everyone else was great too, but those two made it their own !!
It was not a reboot. It was a continuation of the original series. A "reboot" may feature many of the original characters differently, but are usually played by new cast members and without taking into account events or continuity that occurred during the original series.
@@GeorgeCarlinWasAGod 1000% agree. However. If you go back, listen to the interviews with Patrick, Linda, Larry, even Ken, they ALL refered to it as the "re-boot". So that's where me & a lot of people get that.....
I really wished this new series would have lasted I think TNT made a huge mistake letting this slip through their fingers the new cast seemed so talented
They should have filmed it in 80's style with 80's music, a la Stranger Things-and if they had those same plots like Katzman would craft, they would have killed it-even after Larry passed away. Instead, the writers did not understand why the original show was a hit and they pandered to the usual PC suspects, pleasing no one and annoying everyone. Plus, the actor playing JR's son showed no WIT, no charisma, no joy at life, while Larry was all about living life up and it was contagious. A giant missed opportunity.
I noticed that Patrick keeps talking about just the 3 of them, what about Ken Kerchaval who plays Cliff Barnes who is very much apart of the new show so its really the 4 of them, seems strange they would not mention Ken.
