Thank you all of you for checking this video out and taking the time to engage with it and overall just appreciating it. We hit a new subscriber milestone overnight with this one, 12k! Thank you everybody!!! Another Last Epoch video is in the works!
You get an instant sub from me for the sole fact you are telling us not to use a guide. What a fucking legend. Thank you for that. You don't realize how refreshing it is to see someone who ISNT shilling their build guides
I am someone who's already been playing the game since around 1.0 launch, but even then this video was a pleasure to watch. I had been keeping an eye on this game from a distance for years and even I was surprised at how awesome this game turned out. I've still got some things I could nitpick about it but I think with enough TLC from the devs it could end up being a worthy rival to PoE. It already outclasses Diablo 4 in my mind while being only half the price. It feels like everything I could have wanted out of an ideal first experience with Path of Exile, while having all of the quality of life improvements and ease of build making that PoE should have implemented YEARS ago. And the best part is, it's fully playable offline. You bet your ass I am going to have a portable PC with this game on it as I travel.
No WASD movement option (( Despite numerous requests from players, some even with health issues, devs blocks WASD mechanic that ALREADY in the game, we cant do it like in Undecember, because devs intentionally made cursor disappear when the controller is connected, huge dislike for this! It’s a pity that the developers choose the side of inadequate "click-to-move" fans, whose arguments are simply nonsense, they are the main reason that the genre does not evolve, ARPGs become more ACTION-RPGs when it is possible to move with WASD, with click-to-move combat remains clumsy, inconvenient and ridiculous. Click-to-move fans using keyboard for flasks, skills, etc. According their logic, they shouldn’t use it, everything can be done with the mouse, just need a skill!
Great beginning video. Concise but well thought out and you covered all the basics. You earned me as a subscriber. Please continue the good work. I look forward to more videos.
had to stop this video a couple of minutes in cause of all the poor attempts of humor and dumb pop culture references. For a "no nonsense beginner's"guide, " theres ceetainly a faiir bit of it in this video
Never heard your channel before but after this video yeah you got a sub :D Great content I was a total noob in L.E but these things are so good to know. Im a follower from now on waiting for new content !
ok for the "don't follow a build" but in my case, i'm getting oneshot at lvl40 on trash mobs despite i have great fire power. when you are noob like me with stuff and itemisation it's problematic. I'm sad many guide don't provide the basic arpg tips for stuff offense/defense ; add/multiplier damage etc. I will follow you advice with resistance, vitality. my issue is there i think ! thanks =)
Was wondering when I should start crafting. I'm only level 23 and chose runemaster. It's going pretty well with just yellow gear so far just hitting foes with glacier, flash freeze and the blizzard rune skill (iceman). I've upgraded nemesis a couple different times and got 2 legendaries but nothing I can use. Sometimes it's hard to tell what the item will be since they don't tell you and you have to guess by the picture.
Schwingy - "So, my guess is that your upset about diablo 4 and you are too damn busy to spend 10k hours Path of Exile skill tree?" Holy nutsack is this guy a mind reader?
Last Epoch is the golden middle. I have known diablo is casual and easy, plus it costs too much. Path of exile experience was overwhelming/overloaded, though interesting as it was my first ARPG. Tried playing PoE several times and always have ended up not understanding shit that was going on with all these massive passive trees and skills, presented as items, integrated into your weapon or armour. Now i ve been playing last epoch non-stop since it release date. I love that each skill, class, subclass(mastery) have their own skill trees which really impact the gameplay. Worth mentioning the diversity of classes and their uniqueness. For example, i have never seen lich class in any rpg(tbh just once,in Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous - ultra niche RPG).
I've been trying to make a falconer build and there's just so many options it's overwhelming. It's hard to keep track of what buffs what and what skills work off other abilities. Etc. I like the game, but I have a feeling I'm just not gonna have the time to do what I like (min max) because I have a 6 month old baby. Thats one spot where d4 is nice. The simplicity of it.
I am excited to play this game! I watched a lot of videos of PoE but it has tons of information about mechanics, farming, crafting, etc. So by the time I drop my 1st exalted orb I drop the game of exhaustion. Hope to have more fun on this one! Let's goo!
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but every class has been in a good place since 1.1 release, Shaman included. Their Storm Totem is a screen clearer with just a few points in it, and Tempest Strike might be the best melee attack in the game.
Last Epoch looks like POE but without the sockets. I like it. I'm one of those people who enjoy the journey, not the destination, so I made four different characters and play them in rotation.
100%, it's a slightly simpler take on the hardcore ARPG formula. The endgame is less the focus which in turn leads to more build variety in my experience. It's a great game!
Part of the wave of new players, put about 10 hours in so far and really enjoyed it but I'm gonna wait now till the 21st and go hard with a shaman. Can't wait!... done with D4 for now
It was announced for December if I’m not mistaken, but they pushed it back because of conflicting release times with Diablo but ultimately because it gave them more time to flesh more things out. There’s also apparently a big graphics update coming as well when it releases.
I want to enjoy this but have one tiny problem. I bought it, set graphics to ultra on my 3070 and it just doesnt look good at all. There some way to fix this?
Love this as a beginner guide, so tired of 40 minute videos that get into every weed imaginable and leave no room for the player to discover the actual damn game themselves after.
Ragnarok Onlione, one of the earliest arpg mmorpgs we had has a class named hunter. A bow class with a falcon pet and traps :) So hyped for the Falconer! :P
Tried it today. Tutorial didnt even tell me how to look at my character stats. Found it finally pressing C. In game guide disnt say it and there was no tutorial at the beggining saying that either.
Yeah crafting is a huge help, adding resistances onto empty suffixes on items or using glyphs of chaos to try and "fish" for the right resistance you need. It's definitely not super easy, but it can be done, and the further you are into the game the easier it becomes because armor bases tend to have resistances built in, which is substantial. If you're still below lvl 50 or so let's say, I wouldn't worry too much about hitting the 75%, just try to aim for that when you can!
So if I went under 20 points in my main class passives, and lost all of my Mastery points. Do I now have to relevel the Mastery to get passive points in my Mastery again?
No, whenever you respec a mastery point you can allocate it again immediately. That said, I think there are certain limitations, for example if you try respeccing some of the earlier nodes on the tree that enable you to put points into other nodes further in the tree, that won't work. At least I'm pretty sure that's how that interaction works.
Out of all the videos I watched, yours is definitely the best. I have one concern with this game. Why does it look like it’s fast-forwarded? It looks so awkward and throwing me off from the game a little honestly.
Dont be discouraged by a primalist totem build! I didnt even know they were a bit underwhelming but im having lots of fun summoning totems and making builds around summons. Currently level 60 so not endgame yet but I havent watched any guides until now and I didnt struggle much (other than some specifics)
If you buy it now and make your account (login once) you get a preorder bonus :) After release if you don't like the game you can always refund when playing less than 2 hours, if you bought it on Steam that is.
Its weird that the characters I created when I first got it 3 yrs ago to play around a bit are stuck in the Ruined Era, but characters I make now are in the Divine Era. I wonder whynthe Devs did it that way.
it's true that you don't need to look at build guides for this game. Just pick a skill that you feel good about, then find all and nodes and branches that support it. Always start with the very last node of a branch. Great game! Great fun!
I went like full damage with no issue at all until I hit like 53 then was getting wrecked so I definitely recommend getting health and res before then lol
Great video. helpful for new Player and enternaining for everyone who knows the game already ;). I just love ur Content Dude, u rly got me at the end, laughed hard :D
Ill be playing trap falcon gonna be lit ive been waiting fir something like that where you actuaoly control one pet and have direct impact on what it does
Do you move with clicking the mouse or with ASDW? Are you able to switch it ? I’ve thought about getting it for a couple weeks but when I seen the full game released in like 5 days or whenever I just figured I’d wait.
