Hi Everyone! This week Agent 303 starts us off with a fantastic junkyard tour, and then we head over to the GCFCE for a look at a rare 1981 Chevrolet Bel-Air ex-RCMP wagon that was taken off the road in 1985, and we'll see if it'll start! Jim takes the R5 for a drive, and Agent 8771 shows us around his new shop, and Tom is here to drop off a 1984 Honda Big Red!
Thanks also to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! If you would like to help keep our channel going, you can get a sticker, hat or a coffee mug at:

Best line credit this week goes to Jim in the R5: "You gonna part out a toothbrush and fix that?" Priceless. Dean justified his living legend status with his rapid fire ID of mouldering, snow covered rust piles. Bel Air start was astonishing. Great episode!

Dean, that little Ford appeared to be a mid-fifties Anglia 100e. It packed a whopping 71 cubes of flathead power. An unwary rice-pudding could have it's skin dragged right off! Scott, Watching the R5 being drifted brought back some mild buttock-clench from my own experience in one. The difference was that my drift was while driving on a straight road and was completely UN-intentional! We don't get snow too often round here though so, short of hitting some spilled diesel, we don't get a lot of practice. I had an earlier R5, prior to the slider, that had the 'umbrella handle' gear shift, which came through the middle of the dash. TBH I preferred it to the floor change! It was just a 30" remote that connected to the top of the stick in the gearbox, that now was sitting right behind the grille. Wacky French engineering but it made clutch changing a doddle.

Down in California the real death of cars was in 1974 when full on emissions standards ruined all engines. 55:36 "...[exhaust smells] a bit rich..." With the monster cam, I'll bet the vacuum might be so low that the carb Power Valve might think the car is accelerating, therefore dumping extra fuel in. Back in the good old days, power valves were available in different vacuum settings to account for the lower vacuum of a "Race" cam and wait to dump fuel at a lower vacuum than the stock Power Valve. I believe the power valve actually has a number on it to indicate at what vacuum it opens. Either that or there may be a vacuum leak somewhere.
