Are you co-infected? HIV+HBV. Since you are taking this medication since 7 years and now your DNA is negative, but hbsag is reactive but under control. I think, you should talk to your doctor about this may be he will change to other antiviral or stop this medicine for sometimes. Because, using of same medicine in the long term virus will be habituated with that medicine. But anyway you should discuss with your doctor about it. Do you know what is your virus genotype?

I’m hbsag positive patient. One thing I’m very sure that it’s acute hbv because I’ll do master check up every year and every time I’ll get negative whenever I do test. Consulted gastroenterologist and they did some tests. My hbv dna viral load was 1780000 iu/ml and viral load log was 6.25. Also ast 506 u/l and alt 1238 u/l. Total bilirubin was 4.06 mg/dl. After one and half month my lft is back to normal. Total bilirubin is 1.07 mg/dl, ast 31 u/l and alt 42 u/l . I was talking udiliv 300mg and hepbest 25mg as doctor prescribed. Doctor told me to take hbsag test after a month. Does lft back to normal mean that I have cleared the virus? if not may I know how long will it take to clear the virus completely in acute case?

you are taking udiliv 300 hope that would be of Abott , this is one of the best medication to protect your liver and help to reduce enzyme level. If it is your acute infection that will be cured easily, talk with your doctor to take medications for some months.

I’ll do master check up yearly once which includes hbsag test. It was negative all the time when I do check up. Recently it turned positive in June. So doctor said I’m infected recently and it’s acute

Lamivir HBV Tablet need to be taken till to make DNA negative and virus will stop producing new viruses and clears up your infection. If your doctor suggested, then your doctor will tell you when to stop this medicine as per your report and patient's condition.

Your doctor can suggest you when to start or stop the anti viral medications. becuase your doctor verified your case thoroughly that's why they can decided only. So, please consult with your doctor about it. Dont take this medicine for long time as your own. When you take this medicine for long time, after few years this medicine will not effective on hbv virus , it will be habituated with this medication. then you need higher dose to control that.

if you are a chronic hepatitis b patient, you need to follow up the treatment in 6 months to monitor the liver condition. For permanent treatment not came in the market yet.

20 -25 years take it just an average life of hepatitis b patient life would be after getting infection. But there is no bar, if you care your liver and follow up the treatment timely nothing would be happened and live will go smoothly. If you will not care your or treatment then within 5 years condition will be anything. So make you healthy, eat healthy and stay healthy.

There are people who live 30 years or longer without starting treatment (they don't even know they're infected), and there are those who are well over 80 years old. One should get tested early and start early treatment with a healthy lifestyle. Of course, there are also special forms and coinfections, but that should not be discussed now.

Don't worry, your viral level is very low, liver condition is good as of now. Keep it maintain as same. dont take alcohol and follow routine checkup in every 6 months.

Yes generally acute infection vanished within 6 months. But if it is not gone means it will be turned to chronic condition. It means your natural antibody unable to get rid of the virus completely.

When you go for 1st time for hbsag test for 3 mems: Positive After 1 month: Negative If you did this test recently, then go for the following test after 3 months: 1) hbsag 2) hbeag 3) Anti-HBe 4) HBV DNA 5) ALT/AST Above these tests are mandatory to know the hbv infection and present condition. Above these tests are expensive but this is required or if you can do these in any government hospitals like AIIMS, or major states hospitals on free basis I hope.

This is because anti-viral medications works better if viral level is high or out of control or liver damaging seriously. Unless it will have many side effects that's why doctor not recommend to all patients.

that means you are not infected in Hepatits B virus. Though your husband is a chb patient you should get vaccinated as soon as possible. Otherwise you will be infected anytime.
