Had the chance to watch them in a live concert in Baguio during Christmas decades ago. They are way more amazing in person, one of the best Christmas present ever.
.south border is my all time favorite filipino band. .guy on the piano is Jay Durias, the life of the band. .the guy with the beanie is Duncan, I think he is like the 2nd or 3rd vocalist of South border. .the band created so many beautiful hits (Rainbow, Kahit kailan, Love of my life, Wherever you are) but kept switching vocalists. .later on an interview, Jay said that the members probably left because he was so strict and a perfectionist when it came to music. .i still think South Border's music back then was kinda ahead of their time. .oh and they're not the same band with Khel on the wish bus. .much love to you two! 💜
The best of the best...this is a classic song! Another national anthem from the best Filipinos bands of the 90's. South Border's songs still resonate with many many Filipino bands' afficionados during that era. I was an avid fan.

The original lead vocalist of this song was Brix. When Brix Ferraris left the group he was replaced by Luke Mejares and after Luke left the Band Duncan Ramos replaced him. Brix and Luke for me have the same vocal strength for this song. I will surely see you when you visit the Philippines and have a greet and meet.
Yeah. Look for the origonal version of this song "kahit kailan" with brix ferraris. It really sounds good especially on the high fasetto blending with the sax (not sure if it's a saxophone though). Still it's one of the hardest song to perform.

The guy in the Bonney with the high falsetto is Duncan Ramos also a renowned singer. There are many members of the band who come and go because the leader, Jay Durias has a very high musical standard and could give the members a lot of musical pressure. Keyboard player and singer Jay Durias wrote this song. This was song of the year 1996 and it was their first hit. Rainbow was also written Jay. I dont know if they've released some new material recently but i've always considered them very ahead of their time. Pretty talented people right here.

For me Southborder is the icon of Filipino RnB. Kahit Kailan is, I can say, their flagship song. My all time favorite of all their songs (and from all OPM songs).

The original version where Brix Ferraris was main vocalist for this is unmatched. I love singing this in the karaoke! South Border has a lot of great songs with both Jay Durias singing and with all the other vocalist they have had. The band is really amazing. I remember a radio interview of another band, OPM Rock/Alternative band, they said that most musicians are scared whenever South Border would release new music, jokingly saying that it means they would probably be "put aside" by fans to make way for South Border's R&B sound. Even other musicians themselves respect this band a lot. Nowadays, Jay Durias also serves as Producer for other acts like #SB19. Awesome!!

Hello guys..ü..southborder is one of our fave bands. .growing up in Philippines..the vocalists or musicians from the original ones have had their moments,hitsongs ang accolades..these guys brix and duncan belong to the 2nd batch of band members/vocalists and they too had their winning moments and songs during their stint,now the new members who sang together with khel p.on wishbus is also reaping fans here and there,even remaking the south border original "🌈---rainbow"..ü..their songs are now classics.
