Back again looking at Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones with a re-mix extended cut video. Help fight the YT issues by watching, liking and hopefully sharing. It would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Legends!!! - Go to buyraycon.com/robothead for 15% off your order! Brought to you by Raycon
I grew up with Indiana Jones. Even named my dog Indiana. Didn’t go see it. Won’t ever. Fauk of Disney. You ruined all my childhood heroes and I don’t want to see trash you do to him.
crazy KK is fired! she is banned from disney! and disney officers has taken over her job and she has been caught moving cash in places that are illegal she is done!
You haven't been keeping up on your nerdy news, Robothead. Kathleen Kennedy has a clause in her contract, stating that she can only be fire for 2 things: being simply not renewed, or criminal activity. Turns out that Iger just learned that KK is guilty of criminal activity of some sort based on the contents of her PC, and she is now totally without any authority. Likely to be fired. Second, you again screwed up. Superhero flicks are not inherently bad. It's just the woke types getting their fingers into them. That will end soon.
WDW Pro announced that Kaffeine Kennedy has a Creator Clause put in by George Lucas that says she can't be fired except for criminal activity. Thus why she's currently on Leave while they search her desk and computer.
You cannot stress enough how both _Indiana Jones_ and _Mission Impossible_ underwent challenges in production due to Covid, yet only the Disney product cost $300 M for a CGI disaster, while the other cost $10 M less than that with better action done with on-camera, practical effects.
@@BiggieTrismegistus it's either that or the crew are treating Disneys coffers like a blank check and blowing the budget on pointless unnecessary crap. Apparently that's what happened with the production of Cutthroat Island, which made it the most expensive flop at the time and bankrupt Carolco. I see Disney making the same mistake.
@@BiggieTrismegistus me and my colleague in compliance asked ourselves the same question and we came to that conclusion as well. they're just too willing to 'waste' money its suspicious.
Good writing, a passionate film-maker, and respect for the audience and the canon. Who would have thought these would all be necessary for a good film?
@whitmanmaleman. Leave out that nonsense. Cruise wanting to make a good, audience-pleasing movie has absolutely nothing to do with any matters of Faith.
That may be, but Mission Impossible 7 is also a big flop??? BTW the shitty Barbie movie have made worldwide $472 million in only 5 days with a budget of only $145 million, so it had made all it's money back and more with only 5 days, and Mission Impossible 7 have only made $376 in 14 days, on a HUGE budget of $291 million, it has to make around $800 million to breakeven. So many people did not want to see Mission Impossible 7, but wanted to see the awful movie Barbie.
@@LukiKruki Yeah the new kids who love or don't see Identity politics anymore, because of the 24/7 propaganda, in public schools, and TV, Mainstream Media, Radio, Social Media, and more.
Saw it last night. It was pretty great. I don't mind waiting for part 2. Tom Cruise may be a crazy scientologist, but I respect his commitment to his craft, his audience and to being a professional. More than I can say for any public figures at Disney or Lucasfilm or the rest of Hollywood. Funny how he can believe in the stupidest things, yet not try to sell them to his audience.
“Funny how he can believe in the stupidest things, yet not try to sell them to his audience” THIS lol! If ONLY more people in Hollywood took this statement to heart! Lookin at you Barbie!😒
@@jameslough6329 Not only that, but he used to act more erratic but dialed it back after it made him look like a lunatic, showing that he was capable of improving upon mistakes.
@An_Actual_Rat Not only that, but him changing shows that he is capable of admitting that he makes mistakes instead of insulting his fans and blaming them.
I believed Pom K could fight but didn't believe that Phoebe Waller Bridge could for a minute. And they have similar body types. I think it was legitimately that Pom trained hard and had the intensity of a wild cat.
I thoroughly enjoyed most of the Craig Bonds, so I don’t really understand the hate those get. MI is a different franchise with a different aesthetic; both are great but in their own way.
@VideoAmericanStyle So did I, but the passion that Cruise brings to this project adds something else to the big production value that both franchises carry.
too bad he's getting old and wrapping up his film career. where's someone from gen-z to take the reigns? you know "the greatest generation thats ever existed". ...more like, most pathetic. bunch of spoiled man babies in nut huggers with purple hair getting pushed around by mouthy lesbians.
Mr. Cruise is definitely a throwback to classic Hollywood. He cares about story and generally wants to please the moviegoer. He sees what's happening with the movie theater dying out and he's doing his best to stop it. 🛑 Go figure. He has movies back-to-back years that are huge Blockbuster classic throwback cinema.
Yes. He may be an odd case, but he has never been in a really bad film for decades...the last 20 or 30 years he has made so many, varied and interesting and action packed films. Some have been not as good as others, but none have been truly terrible. And I used to find him a smug, cheesy pin up poster boy type actor in the 80s, but he has really put the work in and grown as a great older actor. Reminds me of John Wayne, who just got better as he aged and grew in experience. He was still always John Wayne in his films, but he made some truly great entertainment. His stuff was always on Tv when I was growing up as a kid, and now Tom Cruise is the same...
Y'know, I almost went to correct you about the Indy franchise being dormant for 15 years, I could've sworn Last Crusade was late 80's....Then I remembered _"the other one" existed....._ 😢
I can always count on Tom Cruise to entertain me!! Not once while I was watching Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, was I ever worried about agenda or politics. This movie is just an overall thrilling, entertaining, and amazing experience. Tom Cruise is the last hope for Hollywood! He KNOWS how to make movies!! Lucasfilm, TAKE NOTES!! That stunt off the mountain and the train sequence were amazing!! Had me on the edge of my seat…
KK definitely slept with the whole board . She must definitely be blackmailing. It's the only thing that can possibly make sense. To fail so many times and sink an operation with incompetence and not be held accountable
yea that seems about right and over the years there have been no improvements made to it, only losses, and people making shoddy attempts to fill in the gaps
Sorry, but Dead Reckoning was not an "excellent script". Unquestionably great action and stunt choreography, but it can't come anywhere close to Rogue Nation, Fallout or even Ghost Protocol.
I honestly believe that only Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves along with Denzel Washington are the last great American movie stars. Everyone else are just has been feeling actors that don't make much of a difference if they're in the movie or not. But Tom Cruise Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington has me day one at the theater to see whatever they got to offer every time.
I don't think it's a sign about Hollywood improving, it's just Tom Cruise being Tom Cruise. He cares about his craft in a way the rest of them apparently don't. Have heard him described as the last true action star as well, and honestly at this point I believe it.
I think it was corridor crew that said they want a museum where you walk into a dark hallway. Each section of the hallway has screens that produce a sprinting scene from Tom cruise.
I'm glad I finally did my part and saw one on the big screen. These movies have always been amazing. I appreciated Cruise and McQuarrie thanking me for being there before the film started.
He is the highest paid because he is usually the primary executive producer. He doesn't have to take a dime and just count his percentages and will still make more than anyone else.
Robot Head just when I thought I would not watch this movie because Hollyweird is burning, you pull me back in to check out Mission Impossible...Congrats! Great Video!
I got the feeling Ving Rhames is not in great health and they accommodated him out of loyalty. Which is a great thing to do and props to Tom & the rest of them.
I have already seen Mission Impossible 7 Dead Reckoning Part One,and it is everything that a great thrill/action packed 007 style spy movie should be.🤩😎💯👌👍
Saw Dead Reckoning today, loved it! If you support movies like this with no woke agenda, please see them in the theatre and THEN purchase the movie on physical media. Reward good film makers.
Really enjoyed this movie. It's a shame it didn't do better at the box office. It will obviously beat out Indy Jones, but I was surprised that it didn't do better. And, yes, it was waaay better than the last Bond movie and these franchises always gets compared.
Had a great time at theater watching this a few weeks ago! Looking forward to part 2 because I know there will be some more great fun in that one as well.
I've just got out of watching Oppenheimer and I'd love to watch a video by you explaining what Christopher Nolan did exceptionally well where lucasfilm did shit 😂
4:25 Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa Faust is one the few examples in modern cinema on how to do modern strong female characters right. Ilsa is not unbearable, Rebecca Ferguson brings a lot of charm, warmth and likeability to her performance, and she does not have to bash the other male cast members to propel her.
True. Another example is Neytriri, who doesn't bash the male leads in Way of Water and even supports her husband 100%. That was refreshing to see in a big blockbuster.
_"We've been sayin' that for about 7 years."_ And that is why I never took the "Lucasfilm civil war" conspiracy theory or Doomcock in general very seriously.
The box office for this movie is also a disappointment. If you read the opinions of the Mission: Impossible fans, it not as rosy as the person is alluding.
That is the difference between those who give a sh*t about their craft(Tom Cruise's MI films) and those who do not give a sh*t about their craft like Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Kathleen Kennedy.
I didn’t see the newest MI but the last one I saw left me surprisingly entertained. When I hear how great this new film is and how I felt watching the last one, it makes me think “How is this so good? They’ve made like 8 of these.” I’ve become so desensitized to seeing franchises with 3 or more movies becoming so dull with each installment that it shocks me when I see a movie like MI:DR.
Maybe it's a situation where they shop around for the best action movie scripts they can find, and then retrofit it into a Mission Impossible movie? In that case they are ensuring that the story comes first and is the best one possible. But I don't know. I will say that this one's story isn't as in depth as the last one, likely because it's a 2-parter and they are saving the best for last. That isn't to say it's by any means bad, it's still really good, but just easier to follow you could say.
I don’t fawn over Hollywood actors. They’re people. Wealthy people, but people nonetheless. There are two that I would genuinely want to meet some day. Tom Cruise is one of them. Yes, he can be weird, but so what? I mean, just look at my picture to the left. Yes, that *is* me. The other is Keanu Reeves.
Absolutely loved this film. Hoping the box office picks back up after Barbenheimer hype subsided a bit. Every scene of MI7 is captivating. The polar opposite of Indy 5, in every conceivable way.
2:40 The Impossible Mission franchise has been around since 1966. They turned the protagonist of the original TV series into the villain of the first Tom Cruise movie. The actor from the TV show refused to participate because of this so his character was recast. So this series of movies kind of started out on the "Jake Skywalker" route, but obviously what was done to Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Willow, etc., was much worse and were overall just worse movies made by people who hate what came before and the existing fanbase, and the Impossible Mission heel-turn didn't seem to have been done out of malice.
Laughing at Lucasfilm is like laughing at a beloved family member that suffered a severe personality-shifting stroke and can no longer control their bowels. It makes me sad, I get no joy from this. George's biggest mistake by a mynock mile was giving that tumorous witch control of a once great and powerful empire. Star Wars was, is and will always be my favorite franchise. Good video regardless, Mr. Head
If Kennedy is out Disney would be making more money and the ceo wouldn’t have had to cancel so many mcu sequels like GET RID OF KK NOT THAT HARD THEN YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK
The rumor (and this is a rumor) is that KK is being kept on leave until the end of her contract. A lot of the future Lucasfilm projects are in limbo at the moment. Of course, the damage is already long done, but there's that, at least.
I thought the movie was a bit too sci-fi with birth of Skynet and all but damn was it fun to watch. Take note everyone, this is how you do manly-men heroes that have zero "toxic masculinity" and also strong female characters that could carry their own films, if they survive the next film that is.
Skipped John Carter when I was younger and watched it recently. Its surprisingly good. Pity I didn't give it a chance before and there won't be a part II of it.
I remember back in the day me and my friends used to clone on Tom Cruise. But look at him now, CONSISTENCY in acting, acting quality and making blockbusters that aren't absolutely shit.
my only complaint is the motorbike jump scene. we know it was filmed on a smooth long ramp so looking at tom straight leg it on a rocky surface. The bike glides along with a CGI bottom half moving weirdly. That's the dirt rider in me :P The rest was darn good.
I get where you at, but Dead Reckoning part 1 cost around 290 million to make (also because of covid and delays) and so far only had made 370 million. It need about 600 million to break even. So that's also a very big loss to Cruise. I must say DRp1 was a good movie(and way better than Indy or any other Star Wars movies from the last couple of years), but the script has a lot of flaws and I don't think people recommending it to others or going twice to the movie like with 5 or 6. I wish you would have liked that you covered this in your video as well.
I'm quite interested to see what happens when a robot watches the Barbie movie I mean that my frail the circuits and you might need to get a new robot head
I wonder if Tom would consider doing a remake of The Running Man? (Or Battlefield Earth) ...I presume at some point he'll have a heart attack and die while running, but will carry on to finish the film and thank the fans before keeling over.
