I love the Lavario Portable Clothes Washer unit, I use the panda electric spin dryer with it 🥰 I had them both since November 18 2018 lol, I use them both at least once a week. I use it in my shower so there is no mess, I also fill it about half way, it works better, you want to force the water with the use of pressure through the clothes, so you want that basket under water not just barely toching the top of the lid. I cycle 10 times, let soak 10/15 minutes then 10 more cycles, then rinse. The man who invented this is French he came up with the idea because on his sail boat he didn't have a washing machine on board and so he tossed his jeans overboard and tied a rope and let them drag through the ocean, he noticed how clean and fresh they came out, being an engineer he went to work on a washing device that would force water through the clothing fibers mimicking the ocean water through the jeans. His design is patented. Yes I read all about it lol.
Wow and with that water that you drain out you can use it to mop the floors and after that you can use it to clean the toilets and after that you can either use it to rinse off a patio you can do so much with that leftover water.. first time viewer I'm enjoying it I can't wait to watch more of your videos 😃👍
Shalom soapy acres. We lived in a camper for a few yrs back when we bought this land in 05, and all I had was 2 big metal wash tubs, so I did a lot of scrubbing by hand, wish I would have had one of those! We eventually got a 14x70 Mobil home set up back in here in 07 that came with a washer n dryer, but those recently broke down, so for mothers day our oldest son got us new samsung washer and dryer for me for mother's day!! I was so floored and emotional, nicest ones I've ever had. God's blessings 🙌.
I have a Dezitrek Wash bag, a Laundry Pod, a manual spin dryer, and the Dezitrek Ultra Light Clothes Wringer. All work very well. Depending on how many clothes I need to wash will depend on what I use to wash and dry my clothes. The Dezitrek Products will be the best to use for camping or traveling because they are very compact, but could be used for every day wash if space is an issue.
Cheapest way is just a regular bucket in bathtub. Stomp laundry like grapes. 5 min in warm sudsy water. Rinse stomp 1 min. Fabric softener stomp 1 min. It's also giving you leg exercise in the process.
We have a few other issues to deal with before I can use the shower for washing. But yes that would be so much more convenient. I thought about a spinner and after looking at a bunch of different ones decided on a wringer. With what we could see they didn’t seem like they would hold up to the amount of washing we would be doing. What spinner do you have?
@@soapyacreshomestead2226 coming from someone in a small apartment, the spinner will pay for itself in time and effort not having to go to Laundromat for clean clothes. I still take my bedding but I have a mini washing machine with a spinner, works great.
@@soapyacreshomestead2226 you would have to do 2 or 3 loads if you have a lot but those little spinners work better than a regular washing machine getting water out, seriously.
Interesting. The water can be reused in other areas. However, it seems also a little time consuming. There are some very compact portable automatic washers out there that do a great job and can easily be stored. I had one in my 5th wheel.
@@soapyacreshomestead2226 it depends on the size, mine is a .9 cu i can wash up to a queen size bed sheet in it. 3 to 4 very large shirts at a time, t shirts 5 to 6 or more depending how big they are. I found it very helpful not doing it by hand. It handled the laundry very well for 3 people. Stored it with a a table cloth over it next to the bed and uswd it as a night stand.
@@soapyacreshomestead2226 also, im homesteading as well almost into the 3rd year, have solar plus generator power. The small machine did well on generator power as well as solar if you have 24 volt system. It is an RCA compact portable automatic washer the smallest i think they make. Had it for about 5 years now still working well .
What about closing in your porch where your ring is at so that way at least you have more room and you can try your clothes in there cuz I'm sure the heat will reach if it was closed in..
In the summer we will do laundry out on the porch. As of right now we can’t close in the porch but may be an option in the future. I still need a hose to make it a little easier to fill up the washer 😊.
Been a while so for the clean rinse water you can use for your plants, are you still clean other stuff that you may need water for.. I got to see if I get me one of the expensive I got to check it out
The washer was around 250 which at the time I thought was pricey. We got ours at Cabin depot. I see amazon has them fo nearly 500 right now! I wouldn’t pay that for one.
If I am diligent and do a load a day, excluding shabbat, maybe 30-60 mins a day. But when things get backed up I do laundry all morning. I put in a load agitate it, let it soak, do some homeschooling, agitate again depending on how dirty. It takes time but there are a lot of breaks to get other stuff done. Sometimes I forget it and it soaks or drains for an hour or two lol.
I did do an update. All I do now is use a plunger in the bucket and that works just fine. I do like that the bucket drains but you should be able to put a similar drain on almost any bucket. I did see that it was no longer on the market but this is still how we do laundry two years running. Thanks for watching.
Oh I didn’t know that. I don’t use it much anymore. I use the bin but a plunger to agitate my clothes. I found the basket was too small and wanted to do bigger loads 😊
@@soapyacreshomestead2226 I don't know what type of plunger you are using, but Amazon has a "Washing Wand" for $24.99, a very hard polyamide that works very well. I have the Breathing Mobile Washer (which is way overpriced right now at $51.99) and I use it weekly.
No worries. How they explain it(the makers) is that the water is forced up through the holes in the bottom and the side that it pushes through the clothes and separates, moves, them that way. That being said I will still agitate by hand and I believe if I could agitate it side to side instead of up and down it would clean better. But this is what we have that will work in our small space and help save my hands. Thanks for watching!
Just please don't leave the water in it or leave the room because the baby could fall face down I'm the bucket l see u have babies b safe with the little ones that the only down fall 2 this product even the ringer get little ✋ 👐 caught in it they r helping you but don't know the dangers it on takes a second baby animals 2cod b curious or want a drink n fall in
I usually only do laundry in the am or during homeschooling. I am present always. We only have the one little one and she is always supervised. Appreciate the concern, working in childcare for 10 plus years has made me well aware of how little ones can get into trouble.
@@ipkickss it was on Canadian Amazon for $500 a week ago but I saw in on .com for 159 that is a better deal. Sometimes the Canadian amazon site massively over charges!
