Love. Put her in the Rock Hall of Fame. It's long past due. Her voice and range is strong. Her voice is unique. She might be no longer with us but her voice will always be here
@@jasonstory7318 nope, Jennifer and Celine are very common tone..there is so many singers here in the Philippines sounded like theirs but this girl was very rare..very unique voice, the raspiness the crack!!
Thank you for loading this video. Laura always gave more than 110%. She put so much emotion and feeling into whatever she sang. She made you feel what she was singing about. Laurie was an awesome, beautiful, sweet and classy Lady. She had a heart and soul of gold. I'm glad I got to meet and know her. She will forever be my favorite singer and always be in my heart. Rest In Peace Laurie.
I really enjoyed watching this! I had a big crush when i was a teenager on Laura o.k. and Princess Leia (And still do!) Thanks for the great upload. I always thought the track "Touch" would have been really great on the TOP GUN soundtrack! (Remember she also had "Imagination" And "Gloria" in Flashdance (I know it's not on the released soundtrack?) and "Hot Night" in Ghostbusters and "Sharpshooter" from Body Rock) It would have fitted in very well in the "nightclub scene" where Maverick meets Charlie! In fact i reckon Laura would have made a great Charlie for Maverick to hook up with, Smart, Sassy and Sexy all in one great package (The perfect lady) not trashy. Where are these ladies today? Oh right i forgot we have Miley and others! (no comparison). I wish Laura would have been given the chance at far better movie rolls than the couple of B grade rolls she had to put up with "Mugsy's Girls" and the movie made in my hometown of Melbourne Australia in 1988 "Backstage" a movie i had totally forgotten about till i saw it again on RU-vid. (Both are uploaded on RU-vid if you search for them). I'm not sure if she knew the effect she had on men, She always considers her self shy. But I love the way Johnny Carson and Burt Reynolds reacted after she sang "Forever Young" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-90ylcY3UQhw.html Laurie you will remain Forever Young in my heart a real Angel. I'm listening to your music a lot during the current lockdown but I'm sure you know that! I live among the creatures of the night and in the 80's I want a DeLorean to go back in time and hang out with you! Love always Glenn xoxoxo
She's blue eyes.. I love her to performing.. She's beautiful without make up.. Have a voice clear..thank you Laura for all the songs that you sing to your fans.. Love it
Laura's voice is more powerful than the lead singers of rock bands Michael Hutchence(INXS) and Joe Elliot(Def Leppard) introduced by Dick Clark that same night. Her power, clarity and myriad of vocal inflections make the perfect pairing with Freddie Mercury(Queen) for pop and rock genres.
Que hermosa canción no entiendo porque las mejores voces se mueren y ya no hay remplasos, esa si era una hermosa voz hermosa mujer su vestuario todo in talento
Thank you immensely for sharing this awesome video!!!! I was so excited to see her performing, and singing the song "Touch" along with what I think is the best version of The Power of Love! Laura sang with power, and emotion! I can't thank you enough for sharing this treasure trove!
Karen Kaufmann As promised, everything will be shared. Laura was naturally generous and we honor her by being open and sharing with the people, the listeners, the fans. Thank you so much for watching!
RunAndPlay Branigan I absolutely love the song Touch, and was so happy to see it performed on AB.Thank you so, so much.I look forward to future post about the beautiful inside, and out Laura Branigan. She was truly an amazing talent in a lot of areas.
Laura was one of the three great voices of the 1980's. There was Steve Perry, Whitney Houston and Laura. Was this a lipsync? Of course. But watch her live vocals and see that she can equal tape. Did Whtitney have the backing of her label and Clive, of course. And, I mean no disrespect to Whitney. Her chords were astounding. But, if Laura had had the same amount of backing from Atlantic Records and WEA, the general masses would be honoring her birthday, her passing, her recording date and record release on social media today.
Best version of the song, like EVER! Over Jennifer Rush, Celine Dion & Michael Bolton...I believe he wrote the song, or was it How am I supposed to live without u, as he did sing that one!
JESUS MANGCO that is the format that American Bandstand” used. They required that all the acts use their studio versions and lip sync even if the performer didn’t want to lip sync.
